Just got tix to see Judas Priest in May :-D
Saw Kasabian in Brighton in November and at the London O2 Arena on the 15th and 31st of December. Have now booked to go and see them in Amsterdam on the 3rd of March.
Just secured a couple of tickets in the gods for Tom Petty at The Albert Hall 18th June
Bought tic for foster the people instead, I've really liked them recently
Going to see The War on Drugs in March. Looking forward to that very much.
I was going to say snap....but I did the 14th instead......
I was impressed how they varied the sets.......
Anyway got tickets to see a band I first saw supporting Kaiser chiefs, called the Duke Spirit at Koko.......I think they are up and coming....
and I fancy seeing this:
O2 Academy Brixton | Amon Tobin Live Beyond 3D
Going to see Clutch and Thin Lizzy in York tonight !! Been dying to see Clutch for ages !
Laura Veirs in Birmingham this coming Saturday. Alessi's Ark are supporting which effectively makes it a double header for me.
The Black Keys tomorrow night with Band of Skulls supporting, should be a good one!
Currently, the Therapy?/Skindred O2 tour, Russian Circles, Pelican and Fu Manchu are lined up this year
Very jealous. Tried getting tickets but left it too late. Should be excellent.
Would be good to get a report after the gig.
Will do, just about to head off for a few pre-gig beers
Well The Black Keys gig was as good as I hoped, think they're up there with some of the best rock bands just now. Good mixture of the old stuff and songs off the new album, they really are a band that's at the top of their game. The atmosphere was great and the encore was superb, goosebump stuff
Band of Skulls were top notch too, think the new album is a definite buy going from the new material they played.
Well I'm currently stood in a queue with some mates waiting for Alestorm. You've gotta love pirate metal!!
Got Halestorm/Shinedown on Tues, Theory of a Deadman VIP in a couple of weeks and Steel Panther next month.
Best part......got a call from the local radio station this morning, we won tickets to an intimate Halestorm/Shinedown gig at the station. Going to be no more than 15-20 people there including me, the missus and our daughter (10) who is a massive Halestorm fan (she was the one who actually won the tickets!!!!!!!!)
Get to see Lzzy Hale nice and close up!!
Very cool! Lzzy up close?....she's got a great set of lungs!
Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds at the O2 on 26th Feb, saw him at The Forum Kentish Town in October, very good gig.
Glasvegas in April at Mean Fiddler, seen them at Heaven last March and Koko in October, fantastic live.
Heaton Park on June 30th for Stone Roses, never got to see them first time around so looking forward to that!
Thats it i'm f'ing deaf as a post now. Halestorm were fantastic but Shinedown blew the Academy away.
Have to say, meeting both the bands this afternoon at an acoustic gig at the local radio station, if anyone follows Arejay Hale on twitter, yup that is my daughter sat in a place where quite a lot of men would like to be!!!!!!
Planets Suite at Birmingham Symphony Hall tonight.
Thead has been a little quiet lately.
I'm off to see:
March 9th - Surkin @ The Peel, London
March 22nd - VHS Head @ The Vortex Jazz Club, London
March 24th - Kavinsky @ Koko, London
May 9th - Grimes @ XOYO, London
October 12th - Azealia Banks @ Shepherds Bush Empire, London
Teary of a Deadman tonight in Manchester
Rammstein tommorrow at the NEC, been practising my headbanging all day really excited, probably one of the best live shows around at the moment
GnR tickets on presale today - Am thinking O2 London.
Was there in 2010 standing and it was excellent though unsure this time as I'm going to take the girlfriend who is only about 5'6" so not sure about standing tickets, she might not be able to see anything?
Any suggestions? I would easily prefer standing but if she can't see then not sure...
Saw Noel G on Sunday. Off to see Florence and her machine on Tuesday..............
If they are due on at 9 go at 11, saves you standing round kicking your heels
I would never go and see them again
Worth the wait though
Going to the Albert Hall 3 times at the end of the Month as part of the Teenage Cancer Trust Week. Paul McCartney, Pulp and Florence & The Machine.
Also seeing Tyla in April.
You'll enjoy Florence. What a voice.
Grant Lee Buffalo in August..!
