Deftones in 2 weeks, can't wait

Architects/Norma Jean 2 weeks ago, awesome gig, but I hate it when gigs end early so the venue can have a club night in there afterwards. 9.45 finish just isn't very rock n roll.

I posted this in the other thread but didn't notice it's over a 1000 posts now

Here you go - Deftones Glasgow Setlist The first 4 songs had the crowd going nuts and it never eased off from there. You're in for a treat :smashin:

I've got The Gaslight Anthem this Friday then Biffy the following Friday, it's a good month for gigs

Deftones ended my year of gigs in awesome fashion... Rob Zombie and a couple of Maiden shows already lined up for next year.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club at Rock City, Nottingham next week - should be a good 'un
Also yesterday I bought tickets for The Levellers (supported by The Wonder Stuff) in March, again at Rock City. Can't wait for that one; a chance to re-live my younger days in style. It's on a Saturday night too-wahey!

I saw Rob Zombie at Brixton last night, great show, only downside was every other :censored: decided to film the show on their :censored: iphones and :censored: cameras. :censored: people!! it's going to sound like :censored: and the camera wobble is going to make anyone who has the misfortune of watching the video throw up over their shoes. So :lease: leave the camera at home and just enjoy the show!

OK.. rant over, next show is Killfest on March 5th.

I was there also - great show, clearly his usual stadium set-up is far too big for the comparatively poxy stage at Brixton. He even mentioned that himself I think during the show. The images on stage were brilliantly edited and presented (robots, zombies, go-go dancers!!) and there's always an extra point awarded for including P***y Liqour!!

But whilst the overall "show" was great, I couldn't help but feel slightly let down by Rob himself. He didn't seem too excited to be back in Blighty and was obviously knackered after about 15mins of performing! :thumbsdow

Other moans I had (and heard shared on the train home) were mostly about the show starting 30mins late, meaning droves of us had to miss the encore(what was it btw, I'm guessing Lords of Salem and Dragula?) and that the guitar and drum solos were a bit of a waste of time - probably there to give Rob a chance to recover. Also the set list completely ignored Educated Horses (unless he did do LoS during the encore).

Those things aside, it was £30 well spent and a good night - just not sure it was the return we all hoped for after over a decade away.

Oh and the bar prices are surely subject to a Which? investigation. £4.75 for a small can of Tuborg lager, £14 for a large (tasteless) vodka. Never mind Rob Zombie - THAT'S horrific!!

PS. do I rightly remember Skindred being booed as they left the stage? Though they were really good despite crappy sound levels.

Skindred only good booed because the leadsinger said that they were going to play another song but we're not (guessing as they were running late)

I left after Dragula, which was about 10:50pm, I'm guessing I missed House of 1000 corpses and Lords of Salem.
