Just bought an Omega chronostop. It's from the 1960s so is pretty small compared to today's sizes of watch. In surprisingly amazing condition considering the watch is nearly 50 years old. Keeping very good time too so most likely had a service not too long ago.

I have already ordered a leather rally style strap with orange piping to compliment second hand.

That strap you describe sounds like it will be an ideal match! :)

Will post some pics when I get it. I bought a replacement crystal too, but won't put it on till I service the watch which won't be for a while now. Omega still make the original parts for them. As they're so easy to work on all watch makes are happy to service them. Makes vintage Omegas so what of a bargain IMO.

I've got a Steinhart Nav B Uhr in DLC finish on its way from Germany. Had the buckle swapped over for a deployment clasp which is also DLC.

That's just around the corner to me. They were found in the drain right outside my friends house.

He (the cleaner) found three more the next day!! Surely someone on the run who dumped them.

For leisure it's a Tag Heuer Carrera Chrono automatic with crystal back, Omega Planet Ocean on SS strap or Rolex Sub Mariner. For work it's a TW Steel 50mm chrono if I'm inside or Casio G-Shock if outside!!

I very nearly bought a new Milgauss this morning, changed my mind at the last minute. Simple reason, I still can't see much relegating this to the dressing table!

The Milgauss is a beautiful piece though. Surely you could divide your wrist time between the two.

If it's amazon that is selling it, you'll be fine. They're probably the most reliable online retailer around.

i assumed it was just some company selling it through Amazon - just don't want to buy it and it turns out to be a fake.

i might ask some of the other watch companies if they will price match etc (doubt they will though to amazon)

The thing is it's backed by Amazon so if you do get any issues they are extremely good at sorting things out.

I've now had this for five years, it's a Tag Carrera CV2111-0.
I've not seen many of these around.

cheers guys. just spoke with "the online watch company" and they said they could have price matched it, if it wasn't for the fact that the ce1034 is a US line of watch and not a UK one - would need to buy it from somewhere that has already shipped it in.

What are these costing? Quite like the look of that and even better that it is very limited....:smashin:

On another note, i finally got my Cartier back and boy does it look fantastic!!! New sapphire crown and bezel. Full service and they even polished the stainless steel bracelet and the glass. :) Looks brand spanking new again. So pleased to have it back on my wrist!
