Not bad for a 10m connection, had no problems in last 10 years, could be cheaper but I guess you get what you pay for

We are 6 miles from local exchange and until recently broadband speed was 300 - 400 kb. Something unknown has occurred in local exchange or telephone line. Can now watch iplayer with out visit to local branch of McDonalds, using open cloud. Fantastic:thumbsup: ISP is talktalk but cannot find method to edit speedtest.net

This is actually fairly slow for my 15mb connection connection but its peak usage time so the exchange is probably being manhandled :)

I'm connected to my router via 85mbps devolo plugs since my office is in the spare room and I dont think the landlord would like cat 5 run about !

I'm slightly encouraged that you can get a decent speed that far from the exchange - I start with BT on friday, max 4mb on the line, so I'm hoping to get a decent speed.

I can see my exchange from my window! Be/O2 is not available at the exchange. I'm in the market to switch.

Oh and by the way, I pay £25 for 25gb limit! I've gone over this month already so had to pay an extra £3 for an extra 2gb of which as I'm writing this, have only 300mb left!

I have to agree! Customer Service was superb. My speed just started to drop and discovered 25gb was not sufficient for me. For the same price, I get a bit more for my cash from IDNET.

    Hi,

I am on Sky Broadband Unlimited on their new network.

But I am not happy I was getting better speed before!

Using BT I-plate (to be honest it helped a bit increasing connection speed) with Sky New Router (the black one don't know the model number)

    Thanks

As you can see, they just activated Fibre Optics in my area.... Just kidding, my exchange has been upgraded, but they haven't offered BT Infinity yet.

    I'm with ADSL24.

They're changing wholesale provider from Entanet to MurphX soon so hopefully they'll be back to the 7-8Mbps speeds I used to get before Enta started messing them around.

The people who've already been moved over are reporting positive things so I'm hopeful

I've just changed to ADSL2+ with Firefly and am very happy with 13.5mb. Great customer service too! I've switched the telephone to them as well which includes the line rental. Now when there's a problem it's just one call rather than the endless shunt backwards and forwards between BT and ISP.

Last time I posted I was getting 0.35Mb down and 0.30Mb up.
Removed my Bell Wire a few days ago, now getting this.

We should really try to compile all these results.
By the looks of it, removing the bell-wire really helps.

Well chuffed - BT linesman repaired corroded line outside our house today which was causing really bad phone interference knocking my adsl over, before this result i've posted I was only getting about 1.5Mbps downloads!

    Woohoo :D
