Yeah thought that was odd, im just pleased i got a pre-order in as ill still pay the lower price, but i suppose they can wack the price up as they know it will sell, it will only be a matter of months and it will be reduced :)

I've been holding out ages for this TV and was tempted by the X series, its only real purpose is to be hooked up to the 360 and will proberly have an HD player connected up to it when the HD-EP30 Player comes out :)

I see that Digital-point and Electrocentre are doing this set for £1179-00 and say they are in stock!! Has anybody dealt with these places before, to me they seem to be the same company with the same address, very odd.

I think Electrocentre is the name of the actual shop...digital-point is their online business. I've used digital point before though not for a TV. I thought their service was very good and I've seen some other positive feedback on here about them. I wouldn't hesitate in using them again.

    that tv looks great indeed
I wonder if it will be too big for a 9 feet viewing distance, or should I look at the 37"?

even 9 feet is too far for ideal 1080p viewing distance
7.5 feet is best for 42" and 1080p

I ordered the 42Z3030D last night from the Tosh website as a replacement for my 37WLT58 (much loved but in need of replacement). Just couldnt resist.

Managed to get it for £1050 :smashin: due to a discount so its gotta be worth that even if its half as good as I hope it is...

Says it will be despatched within 7 days so will post my findings when I receive it.

Anyone else taken the plunge and ordered one?

Nice....excellent discount too. How did you manage that then? You'll have to let us all know what you think of it. I'm quite tempted myself but I'd really like to see and HDTVTEST review first and I'm seriously tempted by the slinky looks of the upcomming ZF :)

i was looking at some Tosh's in Comet earlier, and I just dont like the clawfoot stand thing, especially with it being silver. Because it protrudes below the TV i found it distracting.

So it does. Hadn't noticed that. Not sure that it's not a typo though because they are missing from "feature symbols" at the top of the spec page. Toshiba's site does seem a bit prone to spec typos at the mo (5:5 vs 5:4 pulldown).

Good news if it does have these feature though

Aaaaghhh. Alas. Its through work. Otherwise you guys would have had a link for sure. Dont work for Tosh but my employer seems to have a deal with them and I get pretty good discounts with Tosh. Worked out about 20 percent.

Only a set amount of things I can by a year though and I have my eyes set on a reduced price Tosh HD-DVD player

Didnt want you to think I worked for Tosh to get the discount and hence be biased in my opinion. If its bad I will tell you... then I will cry :suicide:

Right, I've emailed them to find out the lowdown on the 5:5 with the XF (also pointing out the 5:4 typo on the Z).
Also asking for £age and dates!

Check my above email from Tosh RE: the XF. It will convert 24p to 50/60hz rather than use 5:5 pulldown to display it to 24p.

Whether this makes judder or just gives an overly fluid/false picture, I don't know. I'm sure HDTVTest is the place for answers once it surfaces.

But it does 1:1 pixel map right?
I mean, the resolution in xbox360 can be at 1366x768 but in the tv we can watch it full screen right?
Hope you understand what I mean :)
