Quite a few people have been asking me what are the best settings for the Optoma HD600X-lv. I have owned this projector for about a month now (100 Hours of use) and I think the quality is amazing now I have fiddled arround with the settings a bit. Anyway, these are my settings and I have the image at 90" on a plain white wall. -PlayStation 3 Console Settings- - Video Output: HDMI - Output Resolution: 720p (Projector's actual resolution) - RGB Settings: Full Range, Y/Pb/Pr Superwhite: On, Deepcolour: Automatic - 1080p24 Output: On (all movies are shot at 24fps and 24hz x 5 = 120hz for best motion) -General Projector Settings- - Lamp Settings: Standard (It buy's me another 1000 hour's of lamp life, cut's down fan noise and doesn't make an overall difference in the picture) - Screen Type: 16:9, Display Mode: Auto -Picture Projector Settings- - Mode: User 1 (Personal Settings, Save User 2 for 3D) - Brightness: 49 (Gives you the best black levels possible and still a bright image) - Contrast: 48 (Good contrast and colours without spoiling details) - Sharpness: 18 (Gives me HDTV Sharpness without anoying black lines arround text/objects) but use 22 on VGA input. - Degramma: Film (Good colours, contrast and blacks without any sacrifices to the image quality) - Brilliant Colour: 3 (Nice colours and bright whites, 10 makes reds look fade and 0 makes whites look yellowish) - Colour Temp: Warm (Normal looks a bit cool, Warm is like perfect white) - Colour Bais/Gain/CMY: Left mine at 0, Alter to your preference if nessacery. Please comment on these settings and feel to give me any suggestions.
