I am trying to integrate and control all the technology in my home by using some sort of tablet pc with a user friendly customisable Graphical user interface.

Are there any tablet pc's which will enable wi fi control of media streaming, X10 control, and on-board infra red emitters so I can control IR with the tablet too ?

If this is possible what sort of software would be suitable for this ?

    Hi full,

I am using the X10 commander on itunes for X10 control and it works brilliantly for media control I am using Remote which is free on the apps store. I have to say that this is turning out to be the best money I have spent in years for home control...Fantastic

All I want to do now is to get it all working my my ADI Ocelot controller

Thanks for the information. I saw air remote at Cedia which looked a fantastic solution but they seem to have died a death since. The receiver is available from other sources and am wondering whether to buy one and see if I can get hold of the software. IPOD touch seems the way ahead but may have to wait for someone to write a killer home automation app.

    Cheers Fulltopuk
