Snow, ice and the satellite dish

    Have yourselves a merry christmas.

    Now that I have messed with Tight Gits' head - this is the original posting

    No signal on most channels of the HD box. After all the snow and bad weather the satellite dish was covered in snow and ice.

    Ladder out, as dish is on side wall of house, took a soft brush and huge can of de-icer. Brushed all the snow away carefully, and then sprayed the dish and LNB with de-icer (Windscreen de-icer). Left it 5 minutes and gave it another spray with de-icer.

    Picture and sound restored on all channels.
