As title says, is there a smartphone/camera phone sharing thread?

I know Gordon is big on his iPhoneography, so surprised if there isn't one.
If there isn't, can we make this the sharing thread?

Open to all phones with cameras just so we don't exclude any one!

    I'll start...

    Taken with my iPhone 4S.

Nice pics Raj. Really like 2 and 4.

This thread will probably be a slow one, but nice to have somewhere to put phone pics. I take hundreds on my 4S as it's always in my pocket. :)

    Some more from me...

I am here...some nice stuff. ...first image is great as is the window thing....and that golf course looks like a nice one!

I have been rather busy....I'm building up a body of work to hopefully get in galleries so i haven't been posting them all on-line....however, seeing as this is a nice shiny new thread.

I think this is safe for work...

Excellent as always Gordon, and good to have you on board. Just as a heads up, pic 2 has a nip slip. :)

Love that first shot. Super lighting.

    Yep link works.

Gordon, do you use an apps that control aperture, shutter speed etc on the iPhone or just use whatever the iPhone thinks is right? I've heard some mutterings that there are some out there that let you take control.

Kyle: I for these i used Camera+ to control where focus was and where exposure was. There are not any apps that really let you control exposure times. I have an app called LAB that will tell you exif data of shots. So I set up lights, take a test shot and then put it in LAB to see what iso and shutter speed the phone is deciding to use. Hopefully it is fast enough to allow me to hand hold the phone (as it's generally around 1/15th to 1/40th of a second with that sort of light). There is a long exposure app that allows you to select up to 1 second exposure but I don't think Apple currently allow app developers low level access to the camera functionality in ISO5. Who knows what may happen in future though. I hope they do eventually as it'd be great to see what developers can come up with.

Thanks for that, I didn't even know you could control the exposure in Camera+. I only randomly just found it by pressing two fingers on the screen. Good to know! :)
Maybe it was the long exposure app that I thinking of. Will check it out.

The only problem with the exposure controls on these things is that they are not as flexible as a DSLR for instance. They can only work within the limited range of iso/exposure time the phone allows. Not only that, even when you tap on an extremely bright area you may find that it will not allow itself to use a fast shutter to expose correctly and it will somehow consider the average exposure, but bias things towards the bright object you have selected. This ends up overexposing the object you want as subject. It can be quite frustrating

Yeah I have been frustrated with my phone many many times, and end up taking a series of pics to try and get at least one as close as possible to what I am trying to achieve, then hope PP can make up the rest.
