    Yes in regards of PQ I think, at least if you compare them to the edge-lit Samsung LED-TVs.

    Not all of them. LH9500 is direct led. Only SL series is edge led.

    Hi,
    I don't know why but Samsung switched from using LED as a backlight to the current side-lit type this year. Apparently none of their models are back-lit although they claim various things for this design. It seems most other manufacturers have some LED backlit sets though.

    So are the LX series in the article the same spec. as those LE600/700 models just released in Europe? IIRC all use the same panels.

    They don't look too slim - I couldn't see the specs anywhere though (the LXs i mean). Anyone know?

    If you look on Snorre's Sharp-world.com link above it gives spec's/dimensions.
    The V60 is some 14.3cm deep:eek: Doesn't bother me as I wouldn't wall mount.
    Intesresting they are white LEDs again and not RGB like the current, and seriously expensive, premium sets.

    Oh and thanks to Snorre for the posts.

    Hi

    Seems that the Sharp's new plant Sakai-City coming agressive and more
    technological devices!!

    As well as with their new&high tech Module production!!

    Sony/Tosh/Phil awaiting Sakai-City full production schedule in order to
    procure new Modules from Sharp(according to theşr agreement)

    Phil already started to produce and use Sharp ASV Modules on their line
    of LED-LCE TV9704 series which are 40"/46"/52"(all with Sharp Modules as well) ++

    Bye++

    Wow - that's not slim at all. Not a major problem for me either, though all else being equal, slimmer is better. But it won't have the wow factor on the shop floor.
