Heads up that Google Chrome Beta is now available to download from the Market.
Yes, I was very impressed with it yesterday, some nice features but its still a tad slower than the stock browser and more importantly no Flash yet. Other than that it looks and responds very nicely indeed. After all, its still in beta. Im sure the final release will be much better.
My only criticisms are that your bookmarks are hidden away in a menu rather than being instantly accessible and the URL bar doesn't hide (unless I've missed a setting). Nice touches like the swipe left and right between tabs like iCab. Can't decide on this or Dolphin for my primary browser.
Had one of those SGP Neo Hybrids arrive yesterday, got it in red and I'm very impressed with it.
Got a white one on the way too.
Seeing as Adobe have officially announced they will NOT support Chrome browser for ICS (or anything else for that matter) I've un-installed Chrome (as nice as it was) and actually discovered ICS brower + which is like the stock ICS browser but has about 5 extra features which are really nice. The highlight for me is the ability to browse as a desktop for whichever page you're on which makes a big difference. Its free so check it out, esp if Chrome is not floating your boat.
Actually found Chrome faster than the stock browser but agree that the bookmarks need to be easier to get to.
Where did you buy it from?
Straight from their website but I wouldn't bother as I got stung on customs. The other one is coming from Japan so we'll see if I get charged on that one, they usually mark as gifts over there.
Just ordered one from eBay that's coming from South Korea and was slightly worried about the authenticity of it. I shall wait and see although it is where SGP has them made!
Does anyone have any pictures taken with the Nexus they'd like to share?
I'm really considering trading my iPhone 4S for an Android phone and initially was very keen on the Galaxy S2 but seeing as there might be a S3 out soon I'd rather hold on, but then someone mentioned the Nexus as a new phone which is meant to be Android flagship at the moment.
Only thing I'm not sure on the Nexus is the 5mp camera as I would use it as my main camera as I do my iPhone at the moment.
Just another thing which is more of an Android question than this handset, but I never use my googlemail account because I hate the username I had to use and all the ones associated with my real name are taken unless I have a number at the end, so I use Windows Live. Do I have to use Gmail on an android phone or could I remove that app and have Windows Live as my default? Also same question with contacts - can they sync with Windows Live contacts ie download the photos etc?
Windows Live is available for Android. I don't belive you will be able to remove the GMail app but you shouldcertainly be able to make Windows Live the default.

Post pictures from your Galaxy Nexus! - xda-developers
I have deleted the Gmail app and using the stock email app. Which just a like any standard email client, where you can use any email address.
You can sync Hotmail calendar and contacts, not sure about photos.
Thanks for that. Pictures look pretty decent actually! Good news about contacts syncing cos I wouldn't type them all manually lol
Thanks for the info and link
VCard - Mate sent me a VCard contact via MMS. Received MMS, seems to say there is an attachment, how on earth can I 'grab' it though and add to People?
MMS with pics comes though fine.
Using stock messaging ICS app.

My SGP Neo Hybrid case arrived today. I have to say it is very good and authentic!
Has anyone purchased a HDMI cable or HDMI stand for their Nexus yet?
is there an FM transmitter available to buy for the Nexus?.. I had one for my iPhone 4 and used it all the time in my car..abit lost without one at the minute lol
can anyone recommened a car cradle/charger for this? my wife is getting one and needs it for her job
Money permitting, I'd go for the official dock which is due to be released soon. Handtec have it for £45.59 (pre order).
looks quite nice, will be interesting if it charges as well as the previous brodit one she had.
Clove have the one you recommend in stock, well it looks that way as they dont mention pre order or anything like that?
Just about to press the buy button ,just a quick question ,can the keypad be changed to a different style like i can on my desire at the moment ?
Email from Clove, re stock...
Various keyboards can be downloaded from the market. I keep meaning to install an alphanumeric keyboard as I'm not a fan of the small standard keys when in portrait mode.
If anything is going to charge well, it should be the official dock. The deal breaker for me will be whether or not it can charge sufficiently whilst using GPS.
Well yea, I know for one that the brodit ones charge well when using the gps/driving. I am tempted to get another, given the official still has no exact release date
Just received this phone, the sim card is micro side but the slot looks normal size? Any ideas?
I bought one for a friend and the SIM slot is a normal sized one.
Yes, its rather odd. I have rang the supplier buymobiles who said that shouldn't be right and it would seem the wrong sim has been sent so they are sending a normal size sim out
