Rumour there's 2 SKUs - one with OMAP for the yanks to work with LTE (initial exclusive on verizon) and a world version that vodafone will get with the latest exynos 32nM chipset. Haven't been this excited by a phone since the first nexus one :)

As long as Vodafone aren't allowed to add their crap firmware/bloatware, I'll be happy!

Amen to that! I'd prefer not to have to flash my next Nexus in order to experience Android as Google intended.

They've shown the bloomin power button on the wrong side again. Also, the front mock up - they've got the shape of the bottom curve wrong when you compare to the actual pic of the device in post 1, it looks as though it should be a similar curve to the Nexus S. This would tie in with an earlier sighting of the device which was reported as looking basically like a large Nexus S.

Looks pretty real to me, doesnt seem that much bigger than the Nexus S in his hand. Yay for horizontal scrolling in the app drawer!

Its looks lush to me, not really a big fan of the dominent green hues in Gingerbread but the move, first in Honeycomb and now in ICS to shock blue is great. Looks Tron like which can only be a good thing.

It's a shame it's been delayed, but talk on another forum is that the launch would have coincided with Steve Jobs' funeral, so a nice touch from Google/Samsung if true.

Ho hum, waited this long, another few days will make no difference....

Dual core, I think 1.5ghz. Im more pleased regarding the 1gb ram tbh . . . With the Sammy GS2 and its (slightly) modified android 3.2 being so nippy, Im expecting the non modified Android 4.0 ICS to be even better/faster.

Sounds like the processor will be 1.2Ghz as opposed to 1.5Ghz.

What about physical size? Any indications on this?

And screen size? Heard maybe 4.6" but with touch screen buttons so maybe the same physical size as S2/Sensation etc?

I hope that it's not much bigger than the Sensation, as I'll struggle to fit it into my pocket :p

That's what I'm in a conundrum with a bit. I'm a current iPhone 4 user contemplating going to Android on Sensation/XE or S2

Don't be put off by the dimensions., I upgraded from an iPhone to the S2 a few weeks ago and the size of the phone when I saw it in the shops nearly put me off. But when you get used to it, it doesn't seem big. Its also super thin so when its in my pocket you hardly know its there. When I now compare it to friends iPhones, the iPhones screen seems tiny now! A bigger screen is a real benefit if you want to watch media, surf the net or play games.

Can I ask what made you pick the S2? I'm looking at this, Sensation XE, Arc S or maybe prime?

The recently released US T-mobile variant of the S2 has a faster 1.5 ghz dual core and a slightly larger 4.5 screen. I can see them releasing a similiar version over here to keep on top of things. Maybe to coincide with the Prime, so we'll then have a choice of vanilla Android or Touchwiz a bit like the GalaxyS/NexusS situation from a year ago.

To be honest I was getting fed up with the iPhone, very pretty and user friendly but got a bit fed up with the locked down nature of Apple. The reviews of the S2 really impressed me along with the excellent benchmarking it achieved.

Do a search on Techradar Top 100 Smartphones, that's the review that sealed it for me. That along with the fact you can pick it up at Phones 4 U for free on a £27 a month contract - 300 mins, unlimited texts and 500MB of data a month on O2.

How long have you had the S2? Also, what are your thoughts now you've had it a while compared tom the iPhone. I'm an iPhone 4 owner with my finger just hovering over the S2 purchase button :smashin:

Even after the possibilities that jailbreaking/cydia/winterboard offers, you felt it was locked down?

Just interested as a current Android user.
