if you poke a little spy camera through one of the vent holes you might be lucky enough to spot a little lable inside that will give you the date or you might just short something out (Not recommended) :D

Try looking on the box if you still have it, I know it used to be there!

Picked up my 50G20 today and just been setting it up ready for the match tonight

Had a good look on the box and can't see any date or even anything that looks like it might be a date code.

I can't find anything either. It's probably for the best. If it said March, we'd all be in a nervous disposition for the next 1000 hours.

Surprise surprise but I had a good look when D-Nice posted the 'news' about the post April manufactured Pannys but although I could make out a sticker on the main board, it didn't seem to have a date of manufacture.

It's probably a waste of time anyhow as he was referring to the US sets which are manufactured in Mexico where ours are assembled in the Czech Republic:)

    Indeed.

My hope is that by the time (or if) I get a significant black rise on the G20 that the looming court case will have gone one way or another and Panasonic will be free to talk about it. Obviously if Panasonic loses the court case, I'll be enjoying a replacement - possibly!

But the whole situation brings back memories of the Xbox RROD fiasco. Somehow it didn't stop me buying a G20 yesterday, albeit with a 5 year warranty.
