Okay , We bought this place last year and spent 3 months renovating which was a bloody nightmare but well worth it in the end . Its a 3 bed detatched up/downstairs, I had lots of ideas about how I wanted it to look and function.

Being a sparky to trade and having bought a new build I was laughing as all walls are plasterboards and very easy to install cables/screens as desired . I wanted to have screens in the lounge , Dining room , Bedroom 1 , Bedroom 2 and the Bathroom. I wanted all screens to be as flush as possible to decided to cut into the walls and mount the screens "inside" the cavitys.

I have seen efforts before where folk have fitted a screen and sheeted/plasterboarded up to the edge but I always thought it looked crap , so I had an idea to buy screens with the right shape and with a "flange" around the edge creating a very profesional finish in my opinion.

I wanted to have one discreet cupboard where everything could be housed , absolutely no cables exposed and control of all equipment from one remote.

The AV side of things are fairly simple as this was my first real shot at an AV install , hence my complete novice posts last year :p

    So we have ;

Samsung 46" LED Ultrathin - lounge
    Samsung 46" LCD - My Bedroom/PS3 room
Samsung 32" LCD - Master Bedroom
Samsung 37" LCD - Dining room
HD Waterproof Mirror LCD - Bathroom

    Situated in the cupboard..

    Onkyo 607
    Sky HD
    Sky Plus
    PS3
    Wireless router
    Harmony extenders
    Wireless phone
    Sony Vaio

Kef Ci 160 In wall Speakers
Kef Ci 50r In ceiling Speakers
    Kef Kube2 Subwoofer.

    Everything controlled with harmony 895.

    Each room has 2 Hdmi , 2 ft100, 2 cat5 and some components throughout.

I have absolutely loads of before/after pics of the house and also some of the external LED lighting I have installed . Tell me to stop if its too much , Image quality not the best , nor is the photography skill :p

Love the bathroom with the TV in it.

The tiles, there are two photo's one shows them to be light and the other shows them to be quite dark, which is the truer pic.....I like the darker one...where did you get the tiles and suit from?

The TV, dare I ask how much???????

    Regards
    Tony

Suite was source quite cheap online , Waterproof 1080p Screen £750.

This is probably my favourite setup on this forum, I really am impressed with what you've done mate, excellent!

You say there's your gf's room and your room? I'm guessing that's for spending your own time doing what you want.

Hey , Cant mind where I got bracket but was around £120- works well.

Was trying to stay away from the natural (ie hardwoodfloor, natural skirtings) look and make it more modern hence the blacks/greys/loud colours . And no were not goths .

Next time I think I will introduce some degree of natural flooring etc as the place does lack that "homely" feeling at times.

You have link m8 ? Artificial stuff is quality but expensive , might have to wait till next year now . Stuck between actual lawn turf or creating putting green complete with cups/flags. Perhaps putting on main area and lawn on raised part.

Wallpaper was actually from B&Q although I wouldnt recommend it. Doesnt show in pictures too well but it was a complete nightmare to work with and the glue goes everywhere , its the one wall I'm keen to replace already as you can clearly see the joins at edges.

Was one of the cheaper papers though at £40per roll. Wouldnt recommend buying flock from B&Q. Brain Yates flock wallpaper is cracking but £££. Considering doing horizontal striped flock on the wall behind bed.
