Anyone got any dates for release. Trying hard to wait for this phone, but its so hard. The battery life figures look really good.

I imagine we'll know more once they are officially announced next month.

The Edge does look like a beast of a phone. I wonder what the screen will be? Usual LCD or a change of direction with a super AMOLED, rumoured with the new HTC Primo (via GSM)?

It wouldn't surprise me that the Edge to get a release early this year...but only in the US and not in the UK or something equally as daft.

Edit; bit more digging about the screen...

Gorilla Glass 2 on top of that screen would be a bonus too. That might be pushing it though, as I don't think any phones are using it at the moment.

I'm due for an upgrade in May and I think this could finally be the time where I make the move over from the iPhone. Not a bad word to be said against Apple, but it's because I've got an iPad now so won't lose out on the Apple experience and can now try something different.

This phone looks to be the main contender provided it makes it's way over here. A sneaky white version with Beats and I'd put my order in now! Lol

Roll on the end of this month and the Mobile World Congress. Hopefully we will hear more about the HTC Edge then.

    Ahh my HTC friends!

Ive had my Desire for, well, a long time since launch. Im due my upgrade now but the Samsungs dont really appeal to me all that much. I would love to get a new HTC but the XE & XL arent really appealing to me either.

Ive been looking at the Sony Xperia S, the one with the 1.5 dual core, 12mp camera and 32gb inbuilt storage. What do you guys think of that phone? I know its not out yet, but it looks decent right?

I cant decide if I would break away from HTC for it... I just might do.

    Good advice.

We should know a lot more about the new HTC phone at the MWC at the end of this month.

I'm looking forward to the new HTC Endeavor it will be their first quadcore. Should be revealed at the MWC.

I've always felt Samsung seems a bit plasticy compared to HTC and iPhone is rubbish but that's my opinion. Just never jumped on the bandwagon.

Bit of a letdown not having a microsd slot if I'm being totally honest-coming over from an ip4, this was one of the major draws for me making the switch.

It's a beast of a phone, but I think I'll be opting for the Galaxy Note.

It's 26gb before you've even done anything with it.

I'm not saying its a poor phone-far from it, but I'm just saying that the expandable memory is big draw for me coming over from the iPhone. Not interested in the Dropbox function as that will just eat up my data allowance.

You will find that a lot of people will be disappointed with this aspect as well.

can u buy 64gb memory cards yet? most i have seen on a microSD is a 32gb.

i get what you mean but if people are happy with the lack of memory card on a iphone then this shouldnt be a problem imo. Plus the dropBox feature wont eat up your wifi allowance

    Yep-sandisk do them.

For some, it won't be a problem, sure. But there are a lot of android phone owners where the expandable memory is a big deal so this could be a big turn off. The xda forum has loads of people commenting along the lines of "no sd slot-no purchase" so I'm sure I won't be the only person commenting on this aspect.

    Did somebody say HD2?

I love mine, and to be honest there aren't really any phones out there right now that make me want to upgrade. I bought it 2 years after it came out and people still see it and tell me how awesome it is. :D
SDHC only supports sizes of up to 32GB - and this is what all current phones use. SDXC supports sizes of up to 2TB(!) and there are currently 128GB cards available to buy, but no phones officially support this. After having a Google, however, I've seen reports from people saying that they've used 64GB XC cards in HC phones with no issues.

Anyway, OP, I reckon the HTC Endeavour (One X?) sounds like what you're looking for, not much longer to wait now until you can see it announced officially.

In comparison to previous Android handsets, 32GB internal memory/storage is bloody superb - even if we can only use 26GB of it!

I think I have found my next phone! :D
