Enlighten me, what exactly does he stand for?
Football to entertain your fans. A win just isn't enough for him.
He'd rather die than play football in the style of Chelsea.
"I don't promise titles, but I promise my players will entertain you" - Pep Guardiola 2008.
And what exactly makes you think he couldn't bring that philosophy to Chelsea?. Your [prime] argument is based on the way in which Chelsea won the 2011/12 Champion's League, in the latter stages; hardly reflective of how they have played over the last 5/6/7 seasons, is it? On reflection, some of the football Chelsea have played in recent years has been some of the best in the Premier League. You do remember the 2009/10 and first few months of the 2010/11 season, don't you? (quite hard to score 103 premier league goals in a season when you've parked the bus...)
So Guardiola wants to entertain his fans. Barcelona fans have demanded they play the best football since way, way, way before Pep was even born. Granted, he has brought the absolute best out of a select number of players in recent years, but Barcelona didn't just become a beautiful football-playing side when Pep took charge you know...
If you can find a quote from Pep that says "I'd rather die than play in the style of Chelsea" then fair enough, I'll accept your argument, but you haven't got one, and you're not even close.
I think he'd be great for Chelsea and from what I read, I think Abramovic agrees with me.
Abramovic agree with you merely because he's a massive manager who's out of work.
He felt the same way about AVB.
If you can see Chelsea being able to play like Barcelona then you've got a much better imagination than me - but I can't argue with your imagination!
I know he carried on Barca's play style - but it's in the heart of the team.
Unless Abramovic gives him enough to buy the whole Barca team and all the key players then it's not going to happen. Sturridge, Lampard, Terry, and Cahill playing tiki taka.
Whereas you couldn't argue your way out of a paper bag.
I assume you've read my posts in response to you thinking Pep would actually go to a team with Chelsea's ethos and decided that you've been beaten.
They ALL forget how many bucketloads of goals we used to score every season.
Do we not hold the record for
how many goals scored in a season
or how many points in a season
Or least number of goals conceded in a season
Blind argument I call it.
With some of the posts, bordering on ridiculous, you have made I don't think anyone can compete with your imagination!!!
You win hands down
It's blind for me now, he went on to the ignore list a short while ago
Sorry but people saying Pep wants to go to Chelsea to carry out his ethos of entertaining football and talk of him imposing that style on the Chelsea players - surely people can't be serious here?
Clearly you are. If so, theb I look forward to Pep joining next year and that brilliant Chelsea team from the final transformed and playing like Barca 2010!
Chelsea do play entertaining football. They played different in the final due to having 6 players out. I thought even you would understand that.
Personally I can see big things coming at Chelsea with Hazard, Torres, Mata, Marin and possibly Hulk, with that attack they will score bucketloads.
You can never ever give credit where it's due.
United went and played Barca with the wrong gameplan twice and got their arses spanked both times i'm sure you are just jealous Chelsea didn't.

Congratulations to Di Matteo on becoming Chelsea's new assistant manager
2 years is probably the right amount of time . The last of the old guard will be all but gone and maybe pep, or the next latest greatest. Will be able to come in with a new broom.
Funny how sanity has returned to Chelsea with them finally doing the right thing and offering DiMatteo a permanent role.
At least rewards him with another chance to keep it end next season.
Whereas neighbouring Spurs sack their best manager in a very long time having taken them to TWO fourth place finishes and QF champions league finish.
It's a funny old game.
