    Hi there,

I didnt know which section this should be in so please feel free to move to a more appropriate section.

I have just signed up for netflix for streaming movies and tv shows. I'm streaming from the netflix site on my PC, sound is from an optical out on the PC to the Onkyo 509 - Video is VG to PC. 5.1 works perfectly for any files through media player and VLC but not from netflix.
I contacted the help chat thing on Netflix and they told me that 5.1 isnt streamed from PC, I have found lots of sites and other people that say it is possible though.

    Any ideas?

    :)

Well a quick Google says it cant be done & Netflix don't support it on PC's so not sure where you read that it can.

You might want to consider a WDTV Live media player (around £65) which will play most of the stuff VLC can play and also supports Netflix with 5.1 audio support.

If you want to stream the video files easily from the PC to the WDTV, use Serviio which is free.
