I said 'breaking' as a shock word to get people to read this topic.

But can people say if they are getting this too.

The speakers just randomly giving out a very loud constant interference type noise - I cannot really find the words to describe it bar interference noise. It is a full on noise.

It is happening every day to me, maybe once a day, and it is really bad as I am genuinely worried it will break my speakers.

Remembering back it happened rarely with MW2 - maybe once a month. Never once with Black ops or any other game.

They need to fix this as there first priority!!

Playing a game at 12am and having your speakers give off an immense full blast constant interference noise till you can rapidly turn off your AV receiver is not acceptable in any way shape or form.

Can people say if they are getting it too. A few of the GNE1 guys said they have got it too, so its not just me.

Are you talking about sound generated by the game, or "voice chat".

I havnt had any random noises from the game itself but have always worried about this in all COD titles with the voice comms. Sometimes you get some really odd noises and I d genuinely think that speaker damage is possible. And this should be a concern to many of us here, after all it is "avforums"!

That said, 4 years on I have never had any damage, but I dons till don't like to think of my speakers working this hard.

Yes. Had it once, randomly at the end of a game a couple of days ago.

No to both. Believe me you will know what I am talking about if you have had it.

It is your speakers going out full volume with a ear drum shattering noise (I have really expensive speakers so when it does this its really hand over ears time till you can turn off your AVR).

Its got to the stage where I need to make sure my Harmony Remote is never far to ensure I can mute it ASAP.

I get this now and then but not just on COD.

I actually think its a PS3 or my amp and PS3 problem. (Onkyo)

I don't get the problem at all on any other device but the ps3.

But it seems to be a 1000x more prevalent with MW3.

I never once got this with Black ops and played it a lot (I got to prestige 15 so it shows how much).

For MW3 every day it occurs, sometimes twice a day.

If I am playing detective correctly I think it only occurs when viewing the killcam after you have just killed somebody in game.

So it seems there is some erroneous code in viewing the killcam causing it.

Another thing to add is I can remember last week a game I teamed up with a few of the GNE1 guys and the same time I had the problem, they said they had got it too.

So it does seem like a problem with the game causing it as opposed to my own AVR or PS3.

Well it's not COD specific for me. It's just on the PS3. It first happened on Blops for me though.

Makes me jump every time. It's always a hell of a lot louder than the volume setting I have it on!!!

Yep thats exactly what it is.

I am annoyed you are saying its occuring in other games too. As I was hoping this could be fixed by IW so I could never get it again.

It really is bad. And like I say gaming at 12am-1am and it happening it will wake up the entire neighbourhood.

It's not an AMP issue, a few of us have had it through our Turtle Beaches.

Yeah i was thinking its a PS3 issue. Perhaps a sound conflict somewhere.

The noise i get is a quick burst of the white noise or static you get on a tv channel that is just static. But its intermittent. But LOUD!!! I dont actually have to switch the amp off. I can change it to another input then back and its fine.

Happened to me on mw3 last night , and its happened a few times on mw2 for me using turtlebeach x41s.

Everytime its been on killcam, quite overwhelming when your not expecting it and I don't have my headset that loud to start with.

I've had a few times and it always makes me jump due to how loud it is. I've never had it on any other game though.

It is the kind of noise though that does make you think that it can't be good for your speakers. So when it happens I just hit mute and end up playing that game with no sound at all.

I've had it a few times but I wouldn't worry to much about your speakers I don't think it's likely to do too much damage IMO. Most of the distorted noise is at the higher end of the range, If you are gonna blow a speaker it is nearly always the woofer which isn't being used too much for this noise (I think).

I've had it happen twice so far and only on MW3. Never had such a problem before on any other game.

Had it once and only while playing MW3.

I have had the noise start on other occasions but it's stopped a couple of seconds after.

The time I did get it, it lasted a good 30secs and was a lot louder than the game noise.

Its happened to me a few times now. Only on MW2 and MW3 though. (Treyarch>IW)

My ps3 is only going to the TV so its not an amp issue.
And it also makes me jump out of my skin everytime it happens!

Never had it on MW2 or 3 but I have my sound on optical so I assume its a HDMI issue.
