So after years of dabbling in home theatres I've decided it's time to give it a proper go. You see, the problem is you can go and buy loads of av equipment, stuff it in a room and call it a home theatre, reality is you'll never be happy and will want to change it every year. This is the problem I have - and one my wife seems to be fed up of . Let's hope that this time I can scratch that itch - at least for a while. Now I'm not a big earner, don't have loads of cash stashed nor am I naturally a purist. So this build needs to balance my desire to have a great home theatre with my lack of cash and mediocre DIY skills. I'm planning on starting a fresh with the room, reusing my existing kit ( some is getting old) doing it "diy style" and generally striving for the greatest bang for my bucks. I've done some research, got some tools and have developed the obsession I think I'll need to get this job done. I've been all over the forums for inspiration and information and without gushing its been an education to say the least. I plan to share my build step by step and would welcome you to come along with me. I'm gonna get stuff wrong, no doubt, but hopefully you will find this useful. I'll post some pictures and a little information on what I've done so far.
