I have a Sweex 7.1 sound card (http://www.sweex.com/SC015) which has a 10 pin (one missing) header for optical in/out. ST Lab has the same card as well (http://www.st-lab.com/products.asp). The 10 pin header is similar to the 10 pin S/PDIF header on an Audigy 2 ZS although the pinout is not the same. Does anyone know which pin is the S/PDIF out and which are ground pins? I'm looking for those two pins so I can attach the S/PDIF cable from my GF9600 GT to them.

I currently use two cables more or less taped together (one end coaxial and the other the S/PDIF cable that came with the videocard). It works perfectly but it looks a bit messy. Using the header pins would be the better choice.

Working on that one, bought the board today (sweex SC015) just to get spdif functions.
Have an old soyo adapter board (SY-AUDIO03)which im gonna use aswell,so trying to figure out the pins on both.
    so far up to...
    -----------sc015
    jp1
    pin func
    2 spdif out TTL
5 spdif in (pin 86 XSPDIFI on chip)
    6,10 ground
    --------------SY-AUDIO03
    pin func
    2 spdif in
    1 spdif out
    --------------
XD,,noticed just now that the post is wayz old..well usefull for somebody maybe;)
    --------------
would be nice to know if someone has tested to get spdif in/out stuff on the board functioning??
(no havent even plugged the board in yet, less tried the win soft)

    Well,here we go.
Got the thing working for what i need.
Thx to CMI for documentation on the 8768:)

    -----------sweex sc015
    jp1
    pin function
    1 +12v
    2 spdif out TTL
    3 problably NC..high Z
    4 keypin(NC)
5 spdif in (pin 86 XSPDIFI on chip)
7 spdif in (same as cd-in)
    8,9 seems to be NC..high Z
    6,10 ground

    cd spdif in
    pin function
    1 earth
2 spdif in (pin 113 XSPDIFI2 on chip)
    --------------Soyo SY-AUDIO03
    SY-AUDIO03 connector
    pin function
    1 spdif out
    2 spdif in
    3 +5V
    4 NC/keypin(missing)
    5 Center/Bass ring
    6 Center/Bass tip
    7,8 ground
    9 Rear ring
    10 Rear tip
    --------------

    Notes.
On the Soyo plate the tip(C/B and Rear) are connected to ground when no
plug is present.(think it was tip)
All measurments made with a ordinary ohm-meter.

The soyo plate probably needs stabilized +5V to get the RCA(spdif-in)
connector working properly,I only needed the optos working so just made a quickfix with a resistor and +5V from the soundboard(unstabilized).
Hence there are drops in bitflow on the RCA input(they use a very simple
conversion of the 0.5V external spdif to internal TTL level).
