The RS46 is a good deal cheaper than the X35 so if they are equivalent, then everyone should be chasing the pro model, surely?

Just make sure it is the professional version and includes glasses and emitter, and not an american import, as they tend to use the `rs` numbering;)

I agree with Ricky...there's no point buying/importing one from the US as if you have any problems with it JVC UK will not cover it under warranty and you'll have to send it back to the US. Could end up costing more overall and more hassle for a small saving.

Good point. I think the one I was quoted for was without the 3D kit.

I've ordered my X35 without 3D kit as it's £300 less and I get headaches watching 3D, so little point me buying the kit. Given that they've improved the lamp and lamp power supply which should give a more stable (and longer life) I'm happy to pay the (relatively small) premium for the new model. If it means that I can keep the iris closed down longer (for more contrast) and less frequent recalibrations, then I'll have forgotten the extra cost long before I've tired of the result. :)

I've bought mine from RickyJ at Kalibrate (forum sponser). It's due fairly soon I believe, but I'm a bit busy at the moment so probably won't be able to pick it up for a while.

What pj mounts are you guys using with your X30s or going to use with your 35s?
Where are you buying your mounts from?

most people seem to use the Peerless or Premier mount ones if you need a little drop

if you want a close to ceiling mount then their are those made by Techniq and very neat these ones are too

Before choosing a mount, you need to establish the screen position, and the lens shift capabilities of your chosen projector. If you can avoid it (usually can with some planning), you want to avoid using keystone, as this can cause a drop in resolution. Like Allan said the peerless mounts are very popular, including this one. I hope that helps.

Thanks RickyJ. Do you sell them?
Perhaps you could pm me as I'm after a couple of things, and you could be the one to sort me out?
