I've fitted an Intel Core i3-2120 (3.3GHz) to a Foxconn H67MP-V motherboard but strangely the System info in Control Panel says it is only running at 3.1GHz and this is confirmed by CPU-Z when running a heavy load. Anyone know why the cpu is being limited to 3.1GHz? In the UEFI it shows max processor speed as 3300MHz so that seems fine...

I've got an i3 2100 with a Foxconn H67 board which also runs at 3.1 ghz.

My money says the bios is out of date, but there's been no update since this time last year.

I don't think I'll be bothering with low end Foxconns again :thumbsdow

    As for their website :thumbsdow

I am running the latest UEFI version - strangely with the original shipping version a Core i3-2100 was showing as 3.3GHz instead of 3.1GHz!

On a more positive note the PC is now using much less power at idle than the previous Athlon X2 250 - so much less in fact that my "Intelliplug" kept thinking the PC had gone to sleep and turned off my screen and speakers - had to reset the "Intelliplug".
