It's obviously not a detailed, physical comparison. It's merely a comparison of the expected specifications of both handsets which are set to raise the bar for smartphones.

Both should be revealed next month and I expect we shall know a lot more about both devices then. :smashin:

Saw this over the weekend, looks awesome. Finally something to replace my Desire HD with! Still got about 9 months on my contract but hopefully a Sense 4.0 ICS ROM will come out soon for it to keep me ticking over. Getting a bit bored of the RCMix Sensation ROM I'm currently running.

I've got a Desire HD too and a similar time to wait on my current contract, if I see one of these in the flesh I would likely buy, 4.7 screen, yummy.

Someone on OcUK said that they'd had similar positive responses to last year's releases, but on seeing the galaxy s 2 a few weeks later they knew the samsung was the only option for them. £410 on clove seems like a great price for this though.

I never noticed any bend in it myself, it felt pretty solid but also very light! I'll try and get another look later and see if it bends.

Like everybody else i've been waiting for the new X one series. Until i get my hands on one i'm thinking the X one might be a tad big for my needs also not keen on the plastic body.

Here's the question do i actually need a quad core phone, I'd like to see the One S up close. Also I've still got a liking for the Sensation XE

There's been a lot of debate over whether quad core will improve or reduce battery life. It's also been debated whether any software on the Android market will be able to use quad core to its full potential, or if any software is ready to be released.

Ok, I got another look at the HTCs yesterday (yes I'm at MWC) and I'm liking them more and more.

I tried to flex the phone and it does flex slightly, no more than my HTC Desire though so it feels pretty normal. It uses Gorilla Glass 2 so I doubt some flex is going to harm it anyway as this stuff is strong!

I tested the camera out as well while I was there and the shutter lag is far far less than my Desire, and it works well well in low light too (there is a dark box you can test it out in). The screen is very nice but even with the quad core there is still some juddering when swiping home screens, but I put that down to sense not the phone itself as my Desire was the same until I installed a different Launcher, now its smooth.

I also looked at the Sonys while I was there, these are quite nice but there's just something about them that's not quite up to par with the HTCs, one thing that was better though was the camera shutter lag, it was faster than the HTCs and you can also press and hold the hardware camera button while the phone is locked and it will take a photo in just over 1 second, pretty good!

I looked at the Panasonic Eluga too, this looked ok but it did not feel and work as nice as the Sonys even.

Suppose there's no need to worry about build quality when it comes to htc, although this is the first time they've gone for polycarbonate unibody. So which did you prefer the feel of - the One X or the aluminuim One S? Did you notice any speed difference between them?

Also, you must have checked out the Nokia 808?!! What's it like? I guess we should keep it relevant to this thread so how would you say the camera on the One X compared to the Nokia 808 in terms of speed/usabilty/quality etc?

The build quality was great on the HTC, yes it has a polycarbonate body but it feels nice (not shiny) and seems like it will hold up well to drops etc.

I never looked at the S much sorry as I was only interested in the X! I did have a quick hold of it though and I think I prefer the X feel, mainly because it feels so light for such a big phone, it's lighter than my desire. I've been a little short for time while I'm here because I'm here to work and not visit the show! Speed wise when I was flicking through quickly, there didn't seem much of a noticeable speed difference.

I actually draw the exhibition layout and I'm here updating a live 2013 plan for the sales team who are selling for the next show. So, I haven't had chance to look at the Nokias yet, which is funny as my office is right next door to their stand! because of my limited time though I've been concentrating on the main ones I wanted to see, and Nokia Windows phone was last on my list! If I get chance later I will have a look for you.

    Cool, that would be good.

I cant believe there's still juddering between homescreens  they need to sort that out.
