I've been on a couple of the Golf Days and from what I remember they were most enjoyable with a great bunch of people. I flew over specifically for the first, the second time I was (conveniently ;))working in the area.
Myself and Abbeygoo still keep in touch though he's a bit of a knob. :D

I also arranged to meet with another member when he came over from England to Dublin for a concert with his wife.

Bought an amp from a Scottish based member, and since I seem to spend most of my life in Scotland, I was able to collect at his house.

I'd like to make it to the Tower Lounge in Blackpool sometime to meet Kieron (and Mr Incredible), as I believe both are very entertaining.

Met up with Bigstu at a UFC Expo last year, but only briefly.

I did get recognised on another forum by RMCF from here though. He's somewhere local.

I play football with a few guys on an Irish forum though, it is odd showing up for a game where you don't know anybody's face. 4 Astroturf pitches with guys on them, and your point of contact is someone called "BabyMuff"...

haha nearly every person in the military use's nicknames so its not weird, i still dont know half the real names of people ive spent 3 years at sea with...

You should hear us lot when were on it... shouting all these stupid nicknames my best mate is called OBE.. (One Big Ear) what would you think if someone was shouting OBE in a pub?

Its rare we use first names, im lucky i never got a nick name.. just Stu, i think im one of the only people on ship of 300 that gets called by there first name :D

I would love to meet up with some people on here!

EDIT - well up for a 'Dave's House LAN'!

Kieron has got a lovely collection of puppies.

If there's sufficient interest, we should sort another AVF day in Blackpool ... the sight of Rob (Signs) screaming through the Pasaje del Terror was tremendous ...

    I'd missed that!

Having only intended to stay for a couple of hours late afternoon - early evening, the sight of me, somewhat worse for wear, having missed the last bus home, making special pleadings with SWMBO to come and get me.

    I'm up for another!

Oooh, I love a good onforum domestic

Welcome to the forums, belatedly :smashin: Let me know if there are ever any significant refusals to wash the dishes, put the bin out, or if the vacuuming gets 'overlooked', or whatever. I've got a very helpful banstick and I know how to use it :)

I refuse to press the THANKS button on that, even though it was bloody funny! It's caused a minor medical emergency as the the plums went into hiding for self preservation.
