I'm just watching the Gadget Show on Channel 5. I've never been a big fan of Suzie, but god Pollyanna ticks all the boxes

Gadgets and totty - perfect

Nah Suzie is sexier. Plus she rides motorbikes, so that's even hotter.

that (as well as getting an ex-T4 presenter as his replacement) and also C4's choices for ad breaks has led me to conclude that it was a bad choice to let C4 get the world athletics coverage

Plus a few comments from sally makes me think she's just a blonde bimbo with no idea about tech...oh wait.

At least Suzi comes across as more intelligent.

Although Suzie is still hot she has gone to seed a bit. I predict she will attain heifer/friesian volume within 5 years.

    The show is toss.

Oh wow you saw the first episode? I remember when the studio looked like a factory and the windows weren't covered over.

    Typical Gadget Show programme...

Sponsorship message (PC World I think?)
Titles showing the best "wacky" bits from previous episodes
"Coming up in tonights Gadget show..."
Pointless and usually cringingly embarassing studio bit (usually with Perry showing a bit of leg and making suggestive comments and/or Bradbury being "zany")
Start of some pointless challenge thing
    "Coming up after the break..."
Sponsorship message (PC World I think?)
    Adverts
Sponsorship message (PC World I think?)
"Coming up in this part of the show..."
Bentley doing a review of boring cameras or just looking a bit creepy
Advert for the Gadget Show website
Continuation of the pointless challenge thing
    "Coming up after the break..."

Bit of a pointless top 5 gadget item - toothbrushes, razors, rucksacks, etc.
Or maybe just an excuse to get Perry or Woodward in a bikini
Start of the Gadget Show competition ...

Back to the studio for some banter about who won (like we're bothered)

You forgot the whole, review 5 products and then always pick the one made by Apple.

Lets use excessive force to destroy gadgets and see if they still work. (if you do this to your tech then you don't deserve it.)

Just shudder when creepy John Bentley finally gets his 5 minute segments.

I think Bentley's 'serious' reviews are probably the best part of the show. Yeah, he sounds like Donald Sinden on crack but that doesn't make him creepy.

It is time for a shakeup of the format though as it's just tiresome and stale and as Frml's post shows up, it's totally predictable and there's not a lot of real gadget content in there.

Definitely one for watching on the PVR as I spend so much time FFWDing through the dross any time I can be bothered to watch it. If it was more entertaining I wouldn't mind the dearth of actual gadget content but most of those so-called challenges are eye-rollingly bad.

I think that's the biggest shame, I'd even forgive the dodgy and annoying presenters if the content was worthwhile. It used to be a really useful and interesting programme but it's all gone a bit "Top Gear".

To be honest that's how I watch it these days, I can get through an hour long episode in about 10 minutes or less. It's funny when they reviewed PVRs some time ago they didn't mention this feature as a major benefit :D

Did anyone use to watch [.]TV...?

That was actually a really good sattelite channel, very informative and lots of stuff you wish The Gadget Show was, but unfortunately due to being stuck in some obscure area in the Channel listings people were either unaware of it or kept forgetting about it. After a short while it got axed, a few of the presenters went on to other things like Kate on BBC's Click programme.

The problem with Channel 5 is that it is run by that bloke who does all those gossip mags with Z-list stars, so they will focus more on the presenters and sex things up rather than the content.

If you think the tv show is bad you ought to try gadget show live

It was like a huge shop, I was expecting to see things that weren't available, the only things that weren't available were Pollyana and Suzi

The show was abysmal, we queued for 20 minutes then got corralled with the rest of the riff raff while the premium ticket holders took their seats down the front

Best bit was when they released us they opened the gate at the other end so everyone that queued was at the back

    Utter shambles

This is common practice tbf, other people will be queueing for the next showing at the entrance you came in from so you wouldnt want however many hundred+ to be exiting from that same side
