Come on lads, they're not too bad. Give you a little tip on how to make love to them.

1 Roll them in flour and look for the wet bit.

2 Slap their arse and ride the ripples.

I think that's an excellent photo project well executed. I can't say I like all the photo's but some of them are really, really good. In some of the images you can see the sense of contentment and happiness of the subjects. Despite the perception our society seems to have of these obese folk and the pressure they must feel to be "normal" some of them seem to be comfortable in their skin. Others though look quite troubled. I think it's a great series.

Interesting and different from the norm indeed. But it just makes me think of the Benny Hill character in The Italian Job :D

I suspect they all would have looked much better with clothes on.

Not my choice for subject matter, but nicely shot most of them (puking aside) :smashin:

I think women look better with their clothes on, no matter what size their body may be...leaves a lot to the imagination....

+1 - though to be fair that shot is very atypical of the gallery...

True although a few other subjects there similarly did not float my boat but that cat really did not need to be photographed IMHO:eek:

    Id agree with that but
Saying that as I see the effects of " extra large size" and the havoc it can wreak , on a professional level, beyond the aesthetics there are very real major medical reasons why nobody should get comfortable carrying around all that .
But it is technically very well done and in no way " derogatory" to the subjects

For those of you who seem to think that only men can be photographers, and read this forum, then I have news for you! Women can take photographs too, and read as well.
Some of the remarks on here are really uncalled for and crude.
If this forum really is for men only, then please say so on the home page. If not, then please save your smutty so called humour for somewhere more appropriate.
    Thank you

Im sure you know we have several women photgraphers on here :), ( and love them!)
So, that isnt news ,, we all can read!

This is true but they are a small minority..
It is not just the ladies though, some other subjects in the gallery are something of an aquired taste.. for instance the dead mutilated cat:rolleyes:
While I can see the potential for offence I think you are generalising, and taring the whole forum with a brush that is not accurate and basing those comments on a few arguably inappropriate remarks.
It is fair to say that the aesthetics of the subject ( regardless of gender) are bound to provoke different reactions.. not all complimentary
This forum is for everybody .. it is not gender specific even though men seem to be more simply by default

Look at paintings from a couple of hundred years ago, even "porn" photographs from the 1900's/1910's, shapely women were celebrated. It's only recent times that stick thin women are deemed as "attractive" and only the ones worthy of photography.

I like these, they make you think about the subject and I reckon a photograph that makes you think is the best compliment a photographer can receive.

Thank you for your quick response. I shall consider myself reprimanded in the nicest possible way.
Perhaps I am just too old (and fat) to participate too much in this forum, as regardless of what you say I did find some of the remarks offensive. But that is just my view, and I accept that I am very much in the minority.
I apologise if my comments, and the way in which thay were written cause offence to anybody. I certainly wasn't trying to tar everyone with the same brush and I am sorry if I came across that way.

I agree the photography is top class and very well executed. There is no getting away from the fact though that in thier size these ladies represent an extreme in the opposite of anorexics and size " zero"
As a physician I would struggle to describe them as merely overweight or "shapely".
This is totally non judgemental and would similarly apply to males who are of a similar size
PS: Stick thin women are not attractive..Many are actually ill

You are " forgiven":):hiya: and you are perfectly entitled to your POV which is valid but as I said more relevant to a few ( some made in banter )posts, overall the comments on the photography are positive

Seriously though, perhaps what you said needed to be said . AFAIK the forum as a whole has no misogynist undertones
even if we all get carried away now and again
Pls feel free to participate as and when you like
As for Being " young" and slim" it is not
    1) permanent
    2) or "all that"
    Im niether:rolleyes:!
