I have used Scan for years and think they are great but sometimes didn't order cheap things as Postage pushed up price too much but this is fantastic!

I just placed an order that was under £75 (£60) and it went through perfectly :)

Huge thanks to AVForums and Scan for this loyalty offer

Wow I just caught a glimpse of this. OcUK also offer a similar system so I will be taking advantage of Scan also. Fantastic!

Was told about this offer today which was my main reason for joining this forum but after a quick loook around I wish I had visited sooner as there is some great info to be found.

Thanks AVforums... looking forward to contributing.

It's a cracking deal because the delivery is Next Working Day, and you only need to spend £20.

I used to use Ebuyer, but having to spend £50 for free delivery that usually takes about a week makes small purchases impractical.

The link doesn't seem to be working for me. Carriage is still showing up in checkout. Has anyone tried in the last day or so, with the same result?

I just logged into Scan and tested adding something that was only £30 and I got the free carriage so it looks like it still works... maybe try setting it up again via the instructions page, hope it works for you but the offer is still available... :smashin:

Infuriating. Tried deleting cookies for both this site and Scan.co.uk, and following the instructions / links as set out. Still getting 3.99 carriage at the checkout stage.

    Anyone had a similar experience?

Not sure how much this matters but:

Did you have a Scan account before you tried this?

Or did you create the Scan account when trying to do this?

How much is the order as I think it has to be over £20

My Scan account was about a decade old when I added the discount but as I say I am not sure if this matters, lets see what davidm2 says...

Well I ordered a new wireless router yesterday.

    Arrived this morning.

Great price already and that was before the free delivery.

First time I've used SCAN. I couldn't fault the service.

RayMollom: Can you follow the steps in this post? I can see your account isn't activated as of yet - so this should do it for you.

    (Hopefully!)

Tried that (had done so before initial post) and it still hasn't worked. £3.99 carriage showing up in order summary when I go through to checkout. Had even deleted cookies before trying this.

    Any other suggestions? Thanks

When you say it doesnt work - in which way?

Does the "click here" link appear? Have you clicked and logged in to the Scan site at all?

There's been signups via the free carriage system today - so unless the AVForum admins areaware of something we're not, then the system appears to be working fine.

Yes, the "click here" link appears, and I then am directed to the Scan site's login screen. I log in, search for and add an item (Intel E5500) to my basket, click through to checkout page, where 3.99 appears as a carriage charge.

    Basket summary is as below:
    Net Total

    Carriage

    VAT

    £41.55

    £3.99

    £9.11
    Total
    £54.65

    Most odd.

Indeed - I'm checking internally for you - but in the meanwhile, can you ring the retail sales team (lines are open next 15 mins) and place the order.

Thanks - have just missed the boat for the phone sales. Will try again tomorrow (by which time my list of potential purchases will most likely have increased!).

    Cheers

that's great - thanks very much indeed.

I have a quick question - is the item with code LN33117 the retail boxed version of the E5500?

    Thanks again

Would just like to say how impressed I was with Scan, hadn't come across them before but saw a link on here the other day and needed a 1TB hard drive. Ended up ordering a 2TB due to the good price, ordered it at 4.30 pm on friday afternoon, by 6pm I had received 3 emails telling me the progress of the order, the 3rd being that it had been despatched.

Get to work this morning and have a text message and an email informing me of a 1 hour window when it will be delivered, it was delivered smack bang in the middle of this before lunch today.

Awesome service, puts Amazon and the like to shame. Thank You!

I am also having the same problem with regards the the carriage fee adding. Really wanted something off the "Todays Deals" bit, but I dont want to pay the £13 carriage which puts it up to more I can get elsewhere.

Anyone been able to resolve this?

Jay: I'm not sure if you're the user I mailed before - but if so, it looks like the problems now sorted?
