Not sure if this is the correct thread.

Where it the best place to buy cheap framed movie posters. I want to get 2 to put on my rear wall either side of my projector.

    Cheers
    Steve.

£100 framed is a bit pricey.

    Good selection though.

Will post some pictures of mine if you want to see what they look like?

I bought my posters from Ebay & then have had them framed professionally.

The framing & mounting cost me £60 per poster (1 US Quad & 1 US One Sheet)

I will be picking them up next weekend so if you can wait I'll get some pictures done of the finished articles.

The prices do go up depending on the mounting options, the wood used for the frame & the type of glass.

If your local to Basildon or Essex then let me know & I'll give you the details for the people framing mine.

They appear pretty good, although the glass looks highly reflective. Can't afford much at the minute but a couple of these at £200 i guess isn't too bad.

Looks amazing in photo too, except I don't like that actor so I wouldn't have chosen that particular poster. I wish I had some vertical walls so I could hang some nice frame stuff. I have a Sin City poster which has a border (poor mans frame without a glass front) doesn't look anywhere near as good as a proper frame but for £18 it's not too shabby.

Thanks for that Cloyster I wasnt sure the photo's did it justice because of all the reflections in it.

I actually think this is the best poster for the movie...the actor doesnt do much for me either but it's just the design of it that appealed to me, something about the picture just sold it for me :)

Wasnt to bad price wise either...poster & frame came in at £73 (£13 for the poster delivered from Moviemarket & then £60 for the framing)

Cant wait to get it hung & my Batman Begins one back as well.

The top one looks cools m8...

On another note I have used MAD in lakeside before for my boxing autographs and they have done some amazing work.

I am just about to take up all of my James Bond autographs and have them put into one large frame with a note for each actor with the dates they were Bond on.

Just a warning before you make the trip...Lakeside store is shut now.
With the bottom Brompton Walk being closed for refurbishment they were losing too much business & couldnt afford to keep it running.

The Shop on the old A13 going towards Southend is open Thurs/Fri/Sat following flood damage & will be re-opening properly toward the middle of July I believe.

Their shop in Harlow is open all the time as before & they are currently looking for new premises in Maidstone.

Bit of a rough time for them at the moment by all accounts :(

As soon as I pick it up you can :D:D

Going down tomorrow to have a chat with the framers & get their opinion on it but to me it looked like there are some marks on the inside of the glass so I've left it with them for the time being

Just so you have an idea though this is the actual poster thats being framed...

I'm dying to get it back so I can get it up on the wall.

I actually also have these posters still to get framed but I'm running out of wall space so they will have to wait a while I think :(

Anyone know where to get frames and mounts for postcards? I've got 8 Marvel comic covers postcards that I'd love to put into a frame, I thought about a black mount with 2 rows of four in a black frame... Basically looking for something I can do myself.

If you have a Hobbycraft near where you live you could pop in there...the one near me in Basildon has a massive section for frames & mounts & I'm sure they would have something there to do what your after.
