    Hi All,

I'm hoping someone out there will be able to help me! I have been to Fords and they are only interested in selling me a new stereo!

I had the car jump started by the RAC a few weeks back and since the there has been no sound from the speakers - if I turn the volume up as far as it can go - I can just about hear it from the drivers door speaker - The 3 - 6 speaker test is fine and everything on the display is fine - I have the radio code, but the stereo isn't requesting it - is this a common fault???

I'm hoping maybe it's something to do with the settings - although i have been through everything! I no longer have the manual for it so I have been a bit blind.

Thanks in advance for any help

    :)

In earlier Fords the problem you are describing would be down to an external amp concealed somewhere in the car which has a blown fuse, often caused from the jump start.
Not sure though if something as new as a 6000 model would still use an external amp though.

Contact RAC & explain they have caused an electrical fault and you will be taking it to a specialist for diagnostics, see what they say.
