Do I need to pay £150 for a Panasonic cable, or can I just buy a 10M High Quality Super VGA Monitor Cables Male-Female from maplin and it will do the same job?

Can someone please clarify this. Hopefully someone who uses their plasma for PC use.

to connect what PC with VGA output? to what PW7? the panny cable is for media box to screen (special input board) unless they have started selling VGA cables

Oh I assumed the cable was for PC base to Plasma, not for the tuner.

Its only a PW5 but it has a "PC" and a "Serial" connection at the back.

So I can just buy the £30 cable and simply connect them together without having to buy anything else?

    How bizzare is that?
I had a PC connected to my PW7 with just a normal VGA cable, worked great, definitely try it first before spending extortionate money on the Panasonic own cable.

yeah an normal PC VGA to VGA lead is all that is needed, do you really need 10m!!!! ;eek; if so dont skimp on cable as 10m is at the top end not sure exactly what GFX cards support legth wise (ie VGA standard length but its around 10m max) so cheap cables will cause issues...........

I bought a really cheap and nasty 3m VGA extension cable to connect my PC to my Viera. It's an old PCI graphics card but works fine. I hardly ever use it, hence the fact I bought a cheapo one, but had to try out all functions as soon as I could!

If you want a cheapo one, I used this company (excellent next day delivery)
