Cool thanks mate will take a look!
I am very into photography, It's my dream/hope/life plan that ill be supporting my family from it one day.
I mainly shoot weddings and portraits (family, baby, couples etc).
Depends what you mean by good camera, a lot of good camera's do have modes to just click away with. Even the lower/mid level DSLR's.
My ones are more of a pro level so there are no auto modes and there is always something to adjust before taking the photo. But then if your using a camera like that its because you want to be able to control how the photo turns out rather than letting the camera do the guess work.
I use different methods for different shots but the last one the camera was in full manual mode. So I set the shutter speed, apature (how much light the lens allows onto the camera sensor) and ISO (this is a hang up from film days, its the number relating to the film speed, with digital the higher the number the less light you need but it introduces grain the higher you go). Also I set the exposure compensation (makes the photo intentionally lighter or darker) quite high as I was shooting into the light and without the adjustment the figure would have been very dark. I could have fixed it after in Photoshop but its always best to do it in camera if you can.
My apature was quite high, so the trees in the background were nice and blurred. A high apature also creates a shallower depth of field.
I that has not
I think you need a new camera.
I recently used Collectibiles direct for my 1:6 scale Dewback, great service and they do flex pay, ends as well, if your not bothered about exclusives this is place to use, Lee packages up the stuff really well as well, can't recommend them enough.
definetly shows in you pictures DpM
two things I've regretted not starting five or six years ago is keeping a database of anything I've bought and sold over the years and having pictures of each item to go along with it..... its too daunting now to even think about starting one
keep meaning to look into cameras though and keep wondering if I'd get good use out of one or not but keep thinking the fact I don't use the one I have now is down to the hassle involved...... took a few pictures of my car last week and needed an extension lead running out to the road which got some strange looks from the neighbours for some reason
for some things I can have unbelievable patience especially when learning but for some reason I've always got irritated very quickly with photography so would probably be a relatively cheap one at around £200 or maybe a bit more I'd be looking at and it would be mainly for indoor use for pictures of all my plastic, resin and polystone friends, none of that human malarky
did mess about with lighting and close ups at one time and did get a couple that although not perfect, wern't too bad looking of a few figures, more from luck than judgement though....
Sideshow Punisher Comiquette
Sideshow Maul PF
and this was from a smaller statue..... CS Moore's Kabuki
also thanks to being influenced by Batman2's car collection (shakes fist in anger).... have a work in progress unit..... not sure about lights yet but was thinking more LED strips above them either under the shelves or infront of them with the lights pointing down which will hopefully get rid of the reflections on the cases
Few crappy iPhone pics of my Skaar PF Exclusive. He's massive and very heavy
That skaar looks awesome. Can't wait to get mine. I didn't go for the exclusive though.
He came after sitting a bloody week in Fedex in Belfast....
did yours get a trip to Paris for the weekend on his way over here too?
mine managed to get on the van last tuesday possibly as it would be one of the later vans out of the depot as I'm only about 10 or 15 minutes away from it.... so got mine before they were off for the 'holidays'
Nah .They said no one was home even though there was no card left or nothing :/ Would of got him before the 12th also
Got him now and very happy
Sorry if you dont mind me asking, where did you get those Housings? I have 3 Deloreans id love to keep in these
they came from germany via ebay, also got 2 or 3 of the cars from them too..... 6er box Exclusiv Cars show cases for modelcars 1:18 | eBay
its just under £50 delivered within a week for a box of 6 of them or they also have them in singles at a tenner each plus postage
had to get the two slightly bigger ones for the a-team van (due to height) and the general lee (about 2mm too long thanks to the bull bars) from another store in the uk for just over £20 each
My 3A badbot showed up today, here are some quick phone snaps.
Looking forward to having some time to shoot him properly.
2 more quick shots of Badbot.
A few ghost shots.
My girlfriend bought me a Demon Batman for my b'day last week, just showed up today. Spiffing.
thats not the same one as your previous posts pics is it or is it a clear version of him?
nice Bats shelf
Is that them push on battery powered led thingy's or mains powered?
Damon Bats looks great, one of my favourite parts of the movie
The head has two eyes rather than one and the ears are placed higher. This one is a glow in the dark version. When they were sold on-line this one was only put up for a few minutes at a time at random times over the course of the sale, so should be more rare.
I made it look more see through by placing a flash behind it and firing it through him towards the camera.
Very nice demon bats!
Push on jobs. £1 for two of them, in the local pound shop. Eat batteries like mad, but they do the job.
I've gone and re-posed the Batman Begins figure, after realising he looks like he has a stick up his bum.
If you did want mains powered, ikea reduced the price of there dioder led sets from around £45 to £20 in the last year. Much better value than they were originally. http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/70119425
Thanks for that, I've been eyeing them recently.
if you've a soldering iron you can get a 5m roll of led's which has sticky tape on the bottom of it and then you can cut it to length (could get more than 2 detolfs out of a roll) along with a power supply for it for less than £20 of ebay
Well it's been a while but I've just scored myself a Cyclops EX for £220 shipped in mint condition. Think I'll start on the X-Men line. Got myself a bargain. Haggled the guy down from £260. Pics to come this week. Will start a new collection thread.
Good luck getting Gambit
Two people on here selling them
Yep, Bicrod is selling the EX he bought from me a while back. Really nice chap if anyone decides to buy from him
I had a gambit EX when they first came out but it had loads of flaws so I destroyed it for a refund, no way I could sell it on so I thought I may as well get money back for what I paid. It's an amazing piece.
