Anyone seen UK Release details for this yet?

Available to pre-order on amazon.com, but no sign on amazon.co.uk...

I have cash in the bank, just waiting on a final price/date...

I haven't heard when or if the T100 will be on sale in the UK. This website seems to have its finger on the pulse, and is where I am expecting (hoping) to find the same answer as you are. :smashin:

32GB for $349 and 64GB for $399 - hoping they translate to about £329 and £369 respectively (don't think we'll see the exact conversion to £220 and £250 respectively!!) which, for a Win 8.1 tablet with keyboard dock is exactly what I'm looking for - something to play about on (so not bothered that it's not full HD) but which has the flexibility of full windows.

And of course hoping that they do decide to release in the UK...

    nah

    UK price bet will be

    Tablet only 32GB = £450, 64GB = £500

+ £100 for the keyboard dock.

Other sellers on the amazon.com website actually ship internationally.
With the VAT I reckon it will cost 330£ for the 64gb delivered VAT paid.
If my memory is right, there is no import duty for laptops, only VAT

I just wish they'd announce if it's coming to the uk and if it is the price! What's Asus's track record? do they generally release world-wide or are they very market specific?

    Thanks for that. :smashin:

Problem is, I prefer a UK keyboard. If the T100 isn't available within the UK, this may be an option, US keyboard notwithstanding. ;)

Check out message 2. The webpage link to ASUS forum has some comments about ASUS and how clever their marketing is. :(

I will only quote one example of market specific models. I was looking for the ASUS VIVO Tab. It was advertised on websites but never any stock etc. I contacted ASUS UK but never received an answer. But it is on the Dutch website. ASUS VivoTab - Tablet & Mobiel - ASUS

So... I am trying not to hold my breath whether the T100 will be available in the UK. I hope it is but if not, there is the Dell Venue 11 Pro due next month.

Well the Venue 11 Pro would be an option as long as it doesn't come over at £500... it was the value of the T100 that caught my attention mostly... It'll only be a play thing, behind my phone and desktop - handy for that bit of ad-hoc stuff whilst sitting on the sofa watching tv that my phone can't handle (SWHBO has an iPad). If it's too expensive it won't happen - simple as!

Dell Venue Pro 11. From £349 + VAT. With various keyboards and processors to choose from. :smashin:

Dell Venue 11 Pro hands-on review: A Surface Pro 2 rival - PC Advisor

Will see which comes out first, T100 or Pro 11. Price is my primary concern and then a 'proper' keyboard. I don't game so Atom will suit me. I also prefer windows to any of the other OS. I am considering ASUS because my wife has a TF300, which is well designed. It has a very handy keyboard and is great for emails and photos like other tablets, but that is just about it. :boring: So windows.

    plus a keyboard...

Working in IT I've always been happy being a release or two behind the most up-to-date for personal stuff (that's what work kit if for!), but having got a Galaxy S3 on day of release, nearly two years on and I'm still happy with it, usually after six months I'm ready to throw a phone out the window!! This alone should tell me to go for the T100 - if I was going to be anywhere near my house in the next week I'd have probably already bought it!

I've bought a 64GB US model from a guy who brought some back from there. Paid £340 inc postage, so less than the UK 32GB models and he's made a decent profit on it as well - the UK pricing is a bit disappointing.
Should have it tomorrow and will put together a video review over the weekend.
