Oh nice one mate! Something to play with over Xmas ;)

Just realised my order is coming on Mon. With TNT :( Damn!!! No idea why Apple would use such a disaster of a company. I suspect my MBP and monitor will arrive in pieces. Ughm... I mean shrapnel :(

TNT aren't too bad. I'm sure everything will arrive in one piece. Enjoy your MBP.

Just under an hour ago I ordered a 15" MBP with anti-glare screen and AppleCare (I've ordered the RAM upgrade separately from Amazon). The finance application was only accepted provisionally by Barclays, which was a bit of a surprise ....

Anyway, I've just had a phone call from Barclays to clarify a couple of points, mainly that I'm me and not some fraudster trying to buy with my details  and the application's been approved

I bank with Barclays anyway and must say I'm impressed by the speed with which they got in touch. That said, and touch wood, I've always had good service from them.

    My iPhone's shipped!

Just had an email to let me know. It's due on or before the 20th. Really pleased, especially as they first quoted the 29th Dec - 4th Jan.

Mine still saying awaiting payment after 9 days so rang customer services
Spoke to Ivan from USA really nice man
Admitted the problem had been Barclays are so much behind with processing %free payments and he said mine would be processed Monday ( a week behind )

So very unlikely I will get pre Xmas due to curriers and distribution etc
He said you could try to reserve online after 9pm and collect from apple store but for me 100 mile round trip and pay cash and he even told me a lovely little story of how last year in same position as me with let down pre Xmas how he wrapped up lots of little boxes and in one was a picture of a iPhone and a sorry delay note will be here in January

We laughed at that I said well could you do me a discount on a leather case
    "no problem my friend "
I will give you a free case as compensation for my ruined Xmas ( its for me )

As soon as I received it email him and he would send out my free case I just send him the link of anything on the website !!

I was so pleased with that result I am ordering another iPhone and he will give me a free case for that on too

    Top man
    Great company apple customer services

Just need something to play with on Xmas day now

Great to hear about Apple's CS. Sorry about your iPhone but hey at least you're getting free cases. :D

By the way does anyone know what TNT do if you're not home for the delivery, do they try again the next day?

:thumbsup: Courier company just been and delivered my nice new shiny MBP,
Do I open it now and have a play or wait till christmas day :D
On a separate note I also bought Applecare which turned uo with the courier in a separate bag, but it's just a booklet on its own, I am sure when I bought it before it came in a sealed CD type box, anyone else bought Applecare and received it like this.

As far as I'm aware, they will leave a card and you will be to re-arrange delivery either online (TNT Express - TNT Re-Delivery) or by phone.

If anyone is given syncreon as a delivery courier for their iPhone, the actual delivery will be made with UKmail (at least mine is) as syncreon are only a middleman . On the UKmail website you can enter the delivery reference number (818...) the day before the scheduled delivery to track your phone. Make sure you enter it into the 'Reference Number' field and not the 'Consignment Number'field.

    Nightmare!

I've taken the day off work to wait for my iPhone 4S to be delivered. I've just checked the delivery status on UK Mail and it's now showing as 'delayed' and my new delivery date is tomorrow. I have to be in work tomorrow. Bad times.

    Hi everyone.
Whats the the longest anybody on here has waited for the payment to go through. I know Greenwagon was waiting 9 days but i'm up to that now and starting to get a bit impatient. Am i right in thinking as long as i've had the email from Apple saying "if your online application has been accepted and you received a credit agreement for Barclays we will process your order immediately" (which i have) i don't need to do anything. At the moment it's saying awaiting payment, delivery 10th -17th jan.
It's a shame really, the day after i filled in the application i got a text from tesco telling me they had iphones in stock. Oh well !!

I also had about 9days wait. Best to phone Barclays to give them a nudge and follow up your application. After that write a stinking email to apple customer services and also phone them to complain. I did and got my order moving in the end. Barclays are definitely your first port of call though.

I rang Barclays this afternoon to ask when payment for an order I made 4 days ago (Sunday) would go through and was told it had been processed today. The online store is still showing my order as "Awaiting payment" though :(

Hopefully there'll be an email from Apple tomorrow promising delivery between Christmas and New Year ...... and if not, I'll be getting in touch with them Saturday, even if it is Christmas Eve!

I rang Barclays today as I ordered it 13 days ago and they said they had sent the forms out for me
Must be by snail mail or tortoise express
They said they would resend them ,as I don't have a printer
Emailed apple who were very apolgetic and said they would chase up Barclays and spoke to them on the phone
Apple really good to deal with but Barclays have let them down badly as apple can't deliver untill Barclay process the paperwork
Oh well nothing for Xmas bit least I pick any case I want from the apple website as compensation
Suggest you guys talk to apple and you will get a freebie
