From their website:
Special one-day shopping event - Apple Store (UK)
Examples of deals from 2009 from Macworld available online here
Let the speculation for 2010 begin !
Be nice to save a few quid - I want an iPod engraved for my daughter for Christmas, hence not able to take advantage of the deals that involves iTunes cards.
She is expecting something other than "Dad is the bestest" though I expect...
Do you think we would be allowed to use our student discount on top of this as well?
Totally forgot about educational discount..... thanks!
...apart from the fact that a nano does not qualify for it....
Might be worth waiting to buy my AEBS
wow, ok, wonder if macbook air will have some money shaved off! looking for another £50 off. trying to hit the £1000 mark for the fully loaded 11.6" with student discount.
I wonder wether they would do a 12-core mac pro for £1500
Or sell off their xservers for £500 each.
But I guess I have more chance of winning the lottery.
even though I have no need for one, I would so go and buy an xserver for 500 quid! but lol, I was planning to get my MBA before the VAT hike so an extra £50 or so off (after HE discount) would be nice
didn't no they charged VAT on an MBA education these days??
they always have on HE as far as I know, well for the past 5 years at least
They have to charge VAT on everything they sell. It's the law. A sort of exception is for books where the VAT rate is 0%.
I dont suppose anyone knows who does engraving other than Apple do they? I doubt any Black Friday deal is going to beat HMV at the moment..
you could try a local Timpsons....
Services. Engraving by Timpson
Never used them myself mind!
can any one recall if the discounts applied to the refurb store last year?
remember you can also use Apple Store Voucher Codes, Apple Store Cashback, Apple Store Discount Codes at Quidco. to get an extra 3-4% cashback
Good idea ! You might also want to try local jewellers or some companies do Laser Engraving on iPods (and other things...). Probably best not to get your own Black and Decker out though...or try other methods
Sale is live on the Australian store-savings look similar to those last year
looks like no Black Friday saving for the 11" MBA, as the savings are only for the 13" model
Really tempted by a 21.5" iMac....tomorrow might not be good for my bank balance!!!
No Apple TV savings either
Did anyone answer the question about whether or not the savings could be in addition to the FE or HE savings?
Yeah, I'd quite like to know that as well! If you can, tonight could well be the night I buy an iMac, after deliberating for months...
The Australian student store gives a $1 discount on iMacs not looking good for us
Was holding out for a £70 or so discount plus 3% quidco dicount (direct link above) on a 27 in i7 and i would have crumbled - doesnt look good though!
The cynic in me is saying that the prices will just come down to something near what they should have been in the first place
now, was that the general education store or the australian HE?
Actually, no-where near where they should be but hey it wouldnt be worth going to work if apple wernt there with sweaty palm out waiting to sell me omething else
So, who's spotting the Apple online store? It's down at the mo....
well spotted, I wonder if it will be back in an hour or most likely at 8am
My apologies gents my sense of humour is clearly wasted Granted it was subtle but still I better stick to my normal ICT job
haha, just re-read it properly and I now got your joke, clever and subtle, my hat goes off to you
