He is one of the Best Animation Short nominees.

If it was Hill I would punch him. :D

Otherwise overall some really poor choices of films and nominees. Do they just automatically nominate Stephen Daldry every time he makes a film ? Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close was not that well received. Glenn Close's performance for Albert Nobbs hasn't been that kindly received either. Some of then are just worthy awards bait, like The Help and Warhorse. At least BAFTA nominated a genuinely great piece of cinema with Drive.

Oscar's 2012 yet again so much awards bait in those nominees. Give a film an award and entice a few more punters into the theatre to view a mediocre movie.

I'd be surprised if The Help doesn't win a few awards. It's the best film I saw last year.

Stayed up for this, following blog updates. Great result overall, i feel. Artist taking the top acvolades while Hugo dominates the Visual related awards. Streep best actress. All very justifiable in my eyes. right, time to get 40 winks...

It was a terrible list of nomination list to begin with with no Drive, "we need to talk abot kevin" and no shenna(f1 docmentary) just to name a few

Original Screenplay went to Midnight in Paris, I've been wanting to watch this movie as I've recently comne back from a weeks holiday in Paris but it's not available to rent until 5th of March for some reason.

Best Original Song went to "Man or Muppet" from The Muppets. Surely the biggest success of the night? :D
