Yamaha Launches new YSP-2500 Sound Projector
MSRP: £699.00
Yamaha have been there from the outset in the soundbar market and it shows with a succession of products that demonstrate they really do think of everything.
As you will probably know, soundbars are one of the fastest moving product categories in the CE industry and Yamaha is adding another with their new YSP-2500.

The YSP-2500 is the successor to the YSP-2200 but improves on it in several ways, notably with the surround sound realism you can get from it.

The Sound Projector features Yamaha’s own Intellibeam technology, which measures your room and adjusts the Soundbar to bounce beams off your walls to create a 7.1-like surround sound environment.

Also featured on the new YSP is their CinemaDSP technology, that has been developed by Yamaha for more than 25 years to deliver a truly immersive and realistic surround sound field experience. There are 10 different programs to use on the new YSP-2500, all of which are based on real places and real sound fields.

The UK Yamaha team have also fine-tuned the YSP-2500 to sound more like a UK HiFi product without compromising on the surround sound capabilities.
Connected more like an AVR than a soundbar
The YSP-2500 features connections you would often find on an AVR, including HDMI 3in/1out and support for 4K/60p pass-through with the latest HDMI version. You’ll also find a couple of legacy connections for older video and audio products.

They’ve also added a wireless subwoofer and Bluetooth technology built into the bar itself so you can stream music from your smart device straight to the bar and enjoy. Once connected via Bluetooth, you can take advantage of app control using the Yamaha HT Controller app, available free for Android and Apple devices. With the app you can change inputs and select DSP modes, but more importantly fine-tune the auto calibration of your YSP-2500 by simply dragging beams around your room.

The YSP-2500 has an SRP of £799.95 and should be available by the end of the summer. So anytime now then!
