They ditched Megan two films ago and now they dumped Shia for Marky Mark but apart from that it looks like more of the same in the first teaser trailer as giant robots level Hong Kong.
Despite each successive Transformers film not only getting worse but also becoming increasingly incomprehensible, the last one made over a billion dollars at the world-wide box office. So inevitably another sequel - Transformers: Age of Extinction - is on the way, although this time Michael Bay claims its a 'reboot'. He might have recast the movie but otherwise it seems like nothing has changed, as huge robots trash cities in soulless and uninteresting fight scenes that go on forever. This time it looks like Hong Kong is getting a pasting, no doubt so the filmmakers can chase the lucrative Chinese market. Guillermo del Toro showed us how to do this properly and he was the first to give Hong Kong a good kicking but sadly this latest Transformers movie will take more in its opening weekend than Pacific Rim did in its entire run.
The film opens on Thursday the 10th of July here in the UK and the first teaser trailer has just been released:
