One of Samsung’s big pushes in the Smart TV department this year has been with games, and the Company are set to come through with even more content at IFA 2014.
Samsung will be releasing headline title Need for Speed Most Wanted for download during the event and it’s free to play for all. You will be able to control it using the new Smart Control remote as well as via the apps for smartphones and tablets and Samsung’s new Gamepad.
Additionally, the games panel of the Smart Hub will see ‘Real Football 2014’ and ‘Golf Star’ added and there is to be an update to the Skype app for those TVs with built-in cameras.

“The content available through TV’s is more varied than ever before, and at Samsung we are committed to ensuring that we can provide the best breadth of content possible for every user, whatever their interests may be”, said Doug D’Souza, Strategic Content Manger for Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland. “It has never been easier for our customers to discover even more entertaining and easy-to-use content on their Samsung Smart TVs which is enhanced by the fantastic picture quality on Samsung’s TV screens.”
The updated version of the Skype app will now bring group video and full HD video calls to the Samsung Smart TV 2014 models with built-in cameras and like all the apps released at IFA 2014 will be available globally at no cost.
Samsung is obviously looking to monetise its gaming content in the near future but in the meantime you might as well grab these whilst you can!
