As well as the launch of the massive X942, Panasonic has decided to expand their 4K range of TVs in to more modest screen sizes - and prices.
We knew that the AX902 was on the way but we hadn’t counted on the new AX630 Series, which will sit alongside the rest of the 4K TVs, only with a more affordable price tag and it features a Dual-Core Plus processing engine.
It also boasts a slim bezel design and is available in screen sizes of 55, 48 and 40 inches.
As it should be, the AX630 is equipped with the new 4K 60p-supporting HDMI terminal, which is compatible with the High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) 2.2 protocol, allowing 4K content to be transmitted at high frame rates.
The AX630 is also capable of 1200Hz refresh rates via its Back Light Scanning (BLS) but we have yet no word on pricing and availability. We'll update when we do.
