Linn supports Record Store Day 2014
As discussed on this week's podcast, this year's Record Store Day 2014 will be held on Saturday the 19th of April.
In support of this worthy cause, Linn will be hosting a special vinyl record celebration – Vinyl Adikt - on Saturday 26th April. Taking place in 33 Linn specialist stores across the UK, Vinyl Adikt is the chance for music fans to hear their LPs - bought on Record Store Day - at their absolute finest.

Linn’s Marketing Director, Angus Lawrie says, “We’re delighted to support the great work that Record Store Day does in raising the profile of vinyl and the unique culture of the independent record shop. It’s a great initiative that celebrates the art of music - getting people listening to, talking about and playing music. Our free Vinyl Adikt events take place the Saturday after Record Store Day in Linn retailers nationwide and present a great chance for anyone interested in vinyl music to come along, find out more about the format and hear their Record Store Day purchases sounding their very best – played on an iconic Linn Sondek LP12.”

Introduced in 1973, the Sondek LP12 was Linn’s first product and helped demonstrate that the most important element in any quality music system is the source of the music itself. Continually developed, improved and upgraded ever since, the LP12 is precision-engineered in-house by Linn with every component designed and made at the company’s HQ in Glasgow. To this day, the LP12 still sets the benchmark for turntables worldwide, getting more music out of your cherished vinyl collection.

So if you'e supporting Record Store Day this year, why not pop into one of the supporting Linn retailers and experience the glory of vinyl music by listening to tracks on the iconic Linn Sondek LP12 turntable - plus discover a bit of the history behind the longest surviving music format. With events in cities across the UK (including London, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham, Leicester, York Winchester, Guildford, Carlisle, Norwich, Hull, Cambridge, Chester and Bath), Vinyl Adikt Day is a rare chance to hear your vinyl at its best and appreciate why the format is enjoying a resurgence in popularity.
