hi, ok so i just got hd lead for my chipped xbox, xecutor 2 rox my box, maxtor hdd, wanting to play emulators in hd, but when i connected leads to pbpyr, picture looked terrible, tried to goto ms dashboard to change tv settings but there not there! just a green patterned screen, the sounds beep when you press A or shoulder buttons, so far i`ve tried changing hard drive, restored to factory, tried to load it from file manager, copied xbox dash from c to e and f drive, tried a newer ms dash, in all files i can`t find ms dashboard just xboxdash and evoxdash,
nothing i try works and now i`m banging my head against the wall, as i been up all night trying the above
ANY SUGESTIONS WELCOME

Try the standard lead and see if the MS dash displays.

What files do you have in C/: (in root not sub-directories)

What Bios is on your chip ? Does it say `Live config loading` when you boot ?
(format C:/ - Put your ms dash there, then put your hacked dash on E:/ or F:/ and use a config tool to change the boot order of dashes)

cheers for that chet, i will try that, dash says bios unknown, i chipped it myself so may have done something wrong with bios perhaps? it does say configure live loading, won`t let me save certain games either like halo

Hello, If it says `live config loading` its more than likely the x2 5035 bios - Thats a decent upto date bios.
If Halo isnt saving, FTP the console, or use your dashboards file manager and locate folder E/:Cache - Delete everything inside this folder, theres nothing `needed` in there, it sometimes effects certain games when it gets a few files in there.

i finally fixed it , i had to do a full rebuild, using slayers 2.6 edited,
instead of the 2.7 which was causeing problems
