i have now soft modded my xbox (thanks chatt) What i really want to be able nto do now is to watch football streams and other stuff on the net. Could someone give me some good programs to use as there seems to be a lot out there

Streaming Sopcast To Xbmc - Scenyx Entertainment Community

I use sopcast mostly. Works pretty much the same as tvu's instructions.

The way i do it is get a channel running on sopcast. Right click sopcast and get the url info. Paste it into notepad. Edit the "local host" to ur pc's ip address. Save as a strm file not a txt file. Put it in a shared folder and open in xbmc. Then dont forget to hit no cache in vid options.

WMP streams can play directly from the xbox without the need for programs to be runnin on ur pc. Just put the url into a .strm file (notepad) and play on ur xbox. These take a wee while to load.
