Question Chipped Xbox BIOS inaccessible

Hi,

I have an XBOX-1 chipped with Xec-3 (chipped years back). Right now, I only use for archived music and movie playback from home network.

As it happens, I'm upgrading my telly to a Pio HD in a couple of weeks. I have been looking at ways to get my Xbox to work in 720p with 5.1 audio.

To change my region now to NTSC, I am trying to get into my BIOS. Unfortunately, for some reasons, the BIOS is inaccessible using the white/black key on joystick!

Is there any work arounds to change the video signal up to 720 or 1080 ?

Also, what is a good cable connection to get max HD from Xbox-1 at the moment? Please only include options with 5.1 audio ...
(see my existing set-up in my signature and add a Pioneer LX5090 to it for any recommendations).

Regarding the cables, is this any good ? (Component cable for Classic XBOX)

To me, it includes optical audio out, plus (cheapo looking) component cables as well ...

Hello, You could install `Enigmah video mode switcher` on your xbox, this would allow you to change from pal to ntsc.

Yes, I have already used Enigmah to change from PAL to NTSC. Now I am waiting my delivery of Digital AV Cables to check the difference in quality (stuck in a Royal Mail warehouse due to Easter break, quite possibly somewhere about half a mile from my home)!

Re: Chipped Xbox BIOS inaccessible

I received the Konigg AV cable for my Xbox today and tried them straight away, to be honest, I am quite surprised by the improved video quality (and audio as well using Optical!).

However, I am unable to notice any image ghosting while watching movies from XBMC. Does anyone know how and where to reproduce the ghosting effect again ?
