Hello and before i start thanks.

I have had chipped xbox now for about 6-7 yrs and for the last yr my daughter has had it in her bedroom. Only now have i decided to do anything with it. I have download filezilla and have got slayer evox but how to go on from here i do not now.

Do you first ftp to the xbox? If so how? i have followed tutorials off the internet but i must be very slow because i can not seem to get it to work.

Or do you install slayer first?

Any help would be grateful.

If you have a dashboard like XBMC or Unleashx then an FTP server is allready running on the xbox so you don't need the slayers disc - (you could use frosty's recovery disc)

I presume you have the box connected to your network and you have device that assigns (DHCP) ip addresses?

If yes then in the dash board on the xbox it should report an assigned IP address.

Using your FTP software make a connection to that IP address, the user and password are usually xbox and xbox

i must admit i prefer flashfxp for ftp-ing

Info here

I’ve never used slayers but by the sounds of it, it loads the EVOX dash to allow you to install or repair software, that’s good because EVOX has FTP built in.
An alternative would be Frosty's XBOX Rescue Disc v1.0 this has the much better UnleashX dash
OK if you’ve got it connected wirelessly to your network you’ll be getting an IP ddress from your router
Load the disc and let it boot to the dash then look for settings or setup
Make sure that the IP address is set to DHCP (automatically gets its IP from your router)
Make a note of the IP address; it may even have the IP address on the dash screen
Using your FTP software make a connection to that IP address, the user and password are usually xbox and xbox

Have a look at the link I posted above on how to FTP using FlashFXP
