Question Bigger HDD in Xbox, am I right.....??

Hi Guys, I have just bought myself a spare Xbox, I already have one chipped and one soft modded, but I've never increase their HDD's as they all stream from my network (XBMC). This latest Xbox is going to have NO network access so I thought I might stick a spare HDD in, I have an 80gig laying round that's going to be a perfect size for my needs (Music & the odd movie). I have soft modded my old Xbox many years ago, so I am happy doing that and following THIS GUIDE tells me at what point the softmod side of things and the bigger HDD meet, so I'm happy with that, my question is basically, is there no better way of getting the HDD ready for use othe than plugging it into your PC and rebooting in place of your normal HDD?. The only PC I have left is my HTPC and it'll be a right pain in the chops to swap HDD's around, is there no way in Windows it can be done or do I need to go digging about behind my new HTPC???

Cheers for any tips and advice,

Rich

Sorry to bump an old post, did you get this sorted ?
The easiest method is to install `Chimp` on your xbox and use that to clone the HDD to the bigger one. No PC needed
