Big hard drive upgrade question

I have two Xbox's at the moment and want to upgrade one of the hard drives but it's not as easy as that. Basically my main Xbox (Xbox 1) has a 300gb hard drive in at the moment withh all my games and save games on. I have a second Xbox (Xbox 2) that has nothing on it and a small drive in there.

What I want to do is upgrade Xbox 1 to a 750gb drive and put the 300gb drive in Xbox 2. Now putting it in Xbox 2 is as easy as moving it over so that's no issue.

The questions relate to the 750gb drive I am putting in Xbox 1, I can set it up using the Slayer disk. I have read something elsewhere that no partition should be over 500gb is that correct ? If so if I make the F drive 480gb do I enable the G drive and allocate the rest to that drive ?

The next question is when I have moved the 300gb drive from one Xbox to the other I want to copy all of the games + the save games back onto the 750gb drive, is there an easy way to do that. I have tried FXP'ing between the boxes using Flash FXP but it doesn't work ?

Any help would be appreciate.

Re: Big hard drive upgrade question

you can clone the drives apparently...

Transferring 750gb To Xbox -faster Way? - Scenyx Entertainment Community

have a look about on those forums i know you can use up to 1gb drives but i've no idea about how it needs to be partitioned but I definately have seen a few threads about it

xbmc can copy all your files from one Xbox to the other - but most have it installed - use the autoconnect feature then just copy the files over to the 'new' xbox - be warned though - I've copied about 160gb and it took around 16 hours to do!

Re: Big hard drive upgrade question

@garyddd73-Be careful with that big HDD,they say anything over 250GB (unless you format with UnleashX or xbpartitioner)you will have data loss and file corruption when you get close to the 750GB point. Also heard that you cannot clone unless it is the same size(GB)and the same brand of HDD.I'm installing a 500GB and havin' one hell of a time tryin' to get it to work. You find an easy way to do it please let me know? Good Luck Man!ROCK-ON!!
