Question Connect Xbox to TFT

I want to play my OLD xbox on my dell 22 inch monitor becuase i really hate playing on the crt with the light and well its basicially not very nice. So i was just wondering if i used this cable, would I be able to hook it up to the monitor via dvi. Bear in mind there is a component cable for the old xbox.

Adapter DVI-I - 3 RCA YUV Plugs: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

Haven't got a clue on this - but you can get VGA cables, I know that much!

A component cable and a HD Box Pro (for about 30 quid) work fine. In fact, if you soft mod (or have it chipped) the box to be NTSC, you get 480p (and in some case 720p) from most games, even PAL ones.

Re: Connect Xbox to TFT

You need a Frozen VGA cable - excellent stuff - then you need to download the VGA boot disc or patch your BIOS to support VGA then you will get a superb picture when connected to your TFT - trust me - I now have one and they are excellent!

Doesn't this only work on some models of Xbox, though?

Re: Connect Xbox to TFT

Oh yes, well pointed out, forgot to mention that - it won't work on a .6!

Re: Connect Xbox to TFT

Is it simply not possible to connect a 1.6 using the Frozen VGA cable? I have a 1.6 chipped with a Xenium Ice. Not sure what BIOS it's running as I chipped it a loooooooooong time ago (think it's m8).

Ideally I'd like to hook the XBox to the VGA input on my TV in the bedroom.
