why don't you softmod it? read the softmod thread for more info. you can either wait and borrow the kit or get the stuff you need yourself, at about £12-£15 cost, which will let you mod as many xboxes as you want, or even remove the mod

dont want to soft mod m8 dont like it ive had a few chipped xbox's in the past plus i want a bigger hd

oh well, just another option. you can still upgrade the HD with softmod tho. from what i've been reading, soft modding is the better option as you can completely reverse everything without opening the machine, plus it's easy to upgrade. with the softmod kit you can DIY in 10 mins, altho it took me ages to get the gamesave on the memory card in the first place as i couldn't figure out what to do

I've upgraded the hard drive and softmodded.THe softmod stuff cost me £9 and Sibeer kindly put the saves on my memory card for free

I can't see any great advantage that a chipped box has over a softmod nowadays

Unless you want the bling stuff that x3 offers which lot of people do and chip is like a saftey net if something goes wrong other then that softmod is the best option really.
