Enabling High Definition Mode

Hiya,

I am having problems with access the high definition options.

I have softmodded with Krayzie's Ndure 1.1.1.

I have installed dual boot to MS Dash.

I ran the Enigmah Video Switch (installed on hard drive) through the professional mode and changed to NTSC.

When I boot with the eject button this now lets me enable the high definition settings which I have done.

When I boot up with XBMC (installed as my dashboard), I now only get one option and that's NTSC 4:3. It won't give me any more options.

If I boot into my dashboard through the Professional Mode of Krayzie's Extras then the settings are all there and can be changed, except when I reboot again then it reverts back to how it was before.

What am I missing? How do I enable high definition in XBMC without having to go through the professional mode each time?

Thanks,

Daz

Re: Enabling High Definition Mode

Do you have component leads attached and are you enabling HD modes in the MS dashboard?

Re: Enabling High Definition Mode

I have sorted it now!

For anyone else who has the same problem. I had enabled HD in the non-softmodded MS dashboard but not whilst it was softmodded.

I just booted up into my softmodded dash (XBMC), ran the MS Dash from there and enabled the HD modes then rebooted back into XBMC and all was sorted. Doh!

It means that the output from the Xbox's Component cable is in High Definition.

If you've got one of the few Xbox games which support HD you'll see more detail when you play them.

If you're using XBMC, it will scale all of your DVDs and other videos to high def.

Yes this had me scratching my head too.

If you are using XBMC choose off (red button on right hand side of screen) you will get 4 options one of which is to switch to msdash.

Or you could go to programs and run unleashx this gives the option of booting to msdash.

As far as I can work out once you are in MSDASH the only way to return to XBMC is by switching off and on again unless anyone knows any differant.

Re: Enabling High Definition Mode

Alternatively, you just go to the C drive in Files and run MSDash directly from there.
