Strange Problem

I had a few problems with my xbox (Classic Halo Edition), So posted them up on here and got a reply to resolder some points and the chip that have been used.

Now the original problem was that the xbox would turn on but would'nt turn off via the button until it was unplugged now, ive attached everything and they seem to be working again but now the xbox wont show up on screen and flashes red and green after 3 restarts ...

Anyone got any idea's?.

Re: Strange Problem

If its Flashing red/green and rebooting its either a solder splash somewhere, a lifted/burned trace, a dodgy bios or a missing/soldered to the wrong point D0 connection.

I think then i've royaly fudged it, had a bit of trouble with the smaller solder spots due to not having a small enough point.

Does anyone happen to have a diagram of the D0 wire spots?. just to make sure ive resoldered it to the right place.

Re: Strange Problem

what version xbox is it ?

Those halo ones are either a v1.4 or v1.6 - have a look on the motherboard for extra ram pads next to the ram chips, if there are pads its a 1.4, if theres no pads, just a few resistors its a 1.6

different install methods for both versions ....... also, what kind of chip is it ?

Re: Strange Problem

Sorry, my mistake ......... it`ll be either v 1.2 or 1.6, so i take it yours is a v1.2 ........... The last pic with the D0 located is for all board revisions
